Horrific day. The worst part is that most of the country still believes the official narrative.

In early Summer ‘01 the NYT ran an article about fears in DC of an Al Qaeda attack. By September I imagined we had dodged a bullet. If an ordinary Times reader like me was worried, why wasn’t the President, the VP, his National Security Adviser, or his Pentagon chief?
