The Liberals post ‘Good news!’ about a handful of subsidized jobs (paid for by our taxes), then turn around and keep the borders wide open with record temporary foreign workers, international students working unlimited hours, and mass immigration flooding the exact same entry-level and manufacturing jobs young Canadians actually need. We’re in a recession — the only G20 country in one — youth unemployment is climbing, wages are suppressed, and housing is unaffordable. But sure, let’s celebrate a few government handouts as a big win while continuing the policies that are screwing over regular Canadians. This isn’t “good news.” This is the same old game: tell us everything’s fine, hand out our money to big companies for photo-ops, then shit on us again with more competition for the scraps. Enough.
