Pulling that first shot with a bow and arrow is not something that I would normally want to learn at a festival like this. Most of those fest games are designed to lose so you walk away having less knowledge what you are doing VS when she first walked up to the counter. That said, it's all about having fun and it looks like she is having a good time trying. 😊

A few people have asked how I make these animations. The answer is it's just code and a screen recording. I’ll make little jigs like this interactive timeline to dial things in, but for me I find this is still the fastest way to create and refine exactly what I want.

Building a dungeon. Love how it looks and feels. What do you expect from such a game? (Keep in mind it is still a spicy game after all). I don't want to make super hardcore puzzles. I just want it to feel atmospheric, but not like a challenge, more like a fun bit. Any ideas, feedback and suggestions are welcome!

I watched Robot on the Road and honestly I did not really know what to expect going in At the beginning it just feels like a pretty normal little road trip setup with this robot hitchhiking around Japan and it almost gives off a chill slice of life vibe But it does not stay like that for long The more it goes on the more you realize the robot is doing some really questionable stuff and the way it focuses on women without their consent makes the whole thing feel really uncomfortable By the end I was not really sure if I was supposed to find it funny or just feel weird about it Overall it feels like one of those shorts that tries to mix dark humor with awkward situations but it mostly just ends up being unsettling

I made a stream overlay that looks like a flipbook, so it looks like chat is animating me in real-time. Similar to a sketched drawing come to life on top of an animation table. They can flip the pages on the screen to look at the in-between frames.

Seedance 2.5 launched today. But it fairly disappointed me. In terms of the realistic side, I know it's doing very good! But for the anime side, it's a true regression. The model has an insane amount of noise that is literally so weird. Fast-paced actions feel like paintings, not true anime anymore. I don't know what happened with the training of this model, but in terms of anime, it became a true regression. There is better camera work on 2.5! That's for sure, but the quality took a heavy, heavy hit (art style as well). I hope Dreamina AI sees this. But a fix is needed because anime is totally broken on this model at the current moment.

While they’re already telling the world that they were ‘violently’ arrested by the IDF - you can see here exactly what their arrest looks like and how ‘vulnerable’ they are... By the way, would you expect the operators of a flotilla that is on its way to provide aid to "hungry and poor people who are going through genocide" to behave like this? But this is the truth... It's all a provocation. This is not an aid flotilla, this is a condom flotilla, and the people on it are not human rights activists. They’re paid clowns who are also useful idiots!

Taste is invisible until you try to write it down. This is probably my biggest lesson with AI building as of late. At Sundial, I get to work with really friggin' amazing analysts who know the art, and I see how much of our collective time now is now spent turning that art into playbooks or skills for an LLM. Encoding things like: "How would a great analyst actually look at this metric move?" or "What is ACTUALLY the interesting signal in this story versus noise?" or "How can we know if a product change actually moved the needle?" It's really humbling work! You write an instruction set. The LLM misses. You add more context. It still misses. You add even more. Now it's confused. You strip it back. Now it's too vague. You try a different framing. Better, but inconsistent. Works on Monday, fails on Tuesday. You go again. I've come to realize the gap between 70% quality and 95% quality is not 3 or 4 big things. It's more like 100s of small things. Which is exactly why you can't write an article about it, or copy it, or shortcut it! This gap *is* taste, quantified. The accumulated weight of a thousand small judgments you don't notice you're making, until you sit down to externalize them and realize you can't. Being good at something is not the same as being able to articulate why you're good at it. I now see two bottlenecks to making something better than today's generic AI: 1. Can you *see* what better looks like in the first place? 2. Even if you can see, can you *articulate* what that is in a way that the LLM can understand and systemize? #2 is now a new craft, the art of distilling the art. The people who can do it well are the ones building standout products.
