Michael Tilson Thomas was one of my favorite conductors. He brought classical music to the masses and made it relevant. The music in heaven will be sweeter and more beautiful with him there and the choirs of angels lucky to have him. RIP 🥹❤️

His concerts with the London Symphony were glorious: especially his final Mahler 2.

In memory of Michael Tilson Thomas. In this archival video, Tilson Thomas and Steve Reich recall a now-legendary performance of Reich’s "Four Organs" at Carnegie Hall, where audience members all but rioted in the hall.
