That sounds incredible. Turning your own source documents directly into playable games or interactive dashboards is a massive leap for Gemini Notebook. 🙂

Generating an app straight from your sources instead of a static summary is such a good use of that context. Curious how far the customization prompt actually gets you before it breaks down on more complex apps.

The watermarking toggle detail is easy to miss but matters more than the app generator itself. Right now every major lab defaults to visible or embedded watermarks on generated content with no user opt-out — this would be one of the first cases of a lab giving users that choice. Worth watching whether it’s genuinely optional or just configurable at the workspace/admin level. Those are very different products for anyone building on top of this.

The notebook-to-app pipeline is interesting but the sharp edge is data grounding. Claude artifacts and GPT canvas already do this, the diff is whether the HTML output stays actually tethered to your sources or just uses them as vibes for generation.

An app you can actually operate would be Gemini Notebook's first output in a new category. Everything it makes so far is something you consume: audio, slides, flashcards, data tables. It'll come down to whether the app pulls structure out of the sources or just restates them.

Hope the canvas feature is similar to the one on gemini app. I think the combo will be amazing!

Man they are starting feel like Microsoft. It was a joke that you would know what would be released by Microsoft in 6 months because it's something released by Open AI or Anthropic today.
