So while we are used to LLM's at this point, it's mad to see use-cases like these run at scale. A task that would take researchers hundreds of hours if not thousands of hours, was achieved on a lunch break.

Gemini is great at competitive programming. AlphaCode2 performs at 85% that of its human counter parts. That increases to even higher % when paired with a human.

It's clear now that real prompt engineering, aligning, and constructing instructs for machines indeed will be a massive opportunity and future job titles.

A lot of folks are out there throwing shit at Sundar, but I would like to say the absolute opposite. Instead of chasing hype, they have been laser focused on certain things. Maybe much like Amazon, they win not by being the first, but by being the best.
