This isn’t a flight simulator—it’s a digital window seat.

This is the kind of feature you open for five minutes and somehow lose an entire hour exploring 😂✈️ Real 3D Earth plus a flight simulator is a pretty fun combo.

That’s a fun way to explore Google Earth. Turning a virtual globe into something you can actually fly over makes the experience much more interactive.

This month, the Google Gemini became even more intuitive, integrated and personalized. Here's a snapshot of what's new: 🌏 Personal Intelligence is now available to even more users around the world. Now, it can also generate images that reflect your life, interests and the things you care about most using Nano Banana and your Google Photos library. 📓 We introduced notebooks — our “project” feature that integrates with @NotebookLM, giving you a home base for your big ideas that stays in sync across both tools. 🍎 The Gemini app is now available on Mac. Download the desktop app to get AI assistance from Gemini with just a keyboard shortcut (Option + Space). Share anything on your screen — including local files — to get support with whatever you’re looking at. 🎵 Create custom tracks up to 3 minutes long for free with Lyria 3 Pro. To try it, select “Create music” in the tools menu and “Thinking” or “Pro” from the model picker. 📈 Gemini can now transform complex questions into custom, interactive visualizations right in your chat — like playing with adjustable sliders for gravity and velocity to explore questions like how the moon orbits earth.

Nobody knows your sites, land, and communities better than you do. Now you can turn that local knowledge into custom map layers with the new classify tool in Google Earth on the web, in Experimental. ✏️ Draw your area: Outline a site, or select a polygon already in your map project. Pick a year, 2017 to 2025. 🗂️ Name your own classes: Define the categories your work depends on, from plant species and dry brush to cleared firebreaks. 📍 Label and iterate: Place sample points across your site. Google Earth reads every 10-meter square, fills in the rest, and sharpens as you add points. No code required. 📤 Share and export: Your custom layer lives in your map project, and you can download your work as a GeoJSON file for further analysis. Google's leading geospatial models are now within reach for professionals who want to save time, or who never trained in geospatial coding.

turns out my habits were only half of it 9 steps to cut your Grok Bot usage by over 50% (if you're on a Cursor plan): 1. open cursor desktop app settings 2. go to the models option in the side menu 3. flip off any models you don't want to be using 4. next, set task models in the top of the page to a model you prefer that's cost efficient (do not leave it on default, this is IMPORTANT) 5. otherwise... your task models could auto set to high and/or fast... that's a more expensive model, and you get billed 2x 6. after, you'll click on the cloud agents option in your side menu, and it'll take you to the cursor web dashboard for your account 7. you will need to scroll down to the preferences section on that page and click on the default model option (again IMPORTANT) 8. set that to a cost efficient model you prefer and don't leave it on default... otherwise your cloud agents may use high and/or fast yet again 9. bonus tip (won't apply to most): lastly click on the spending option in your web dashboard's side menu and also make sure your on-demand usage is not on unlimited and is set to a cap you're comfortable with my token usage has reduced 60% after doing this and I'm sure it'll be different for everyone... but make sure to check this process can be a tad bit confusing too let me know if you need any help!
