@obsdmd The interesting shift is from assistant to operating layer. Once AI can be assigned work across files, apps and the desktop, the interface stops being just chat and starts becoming a control surface for computing.

@obsdmd ask and assign are really two different products — one is a search bar with extra steps, the other is an agent that acts on your behalf. bundling them into one desktop app just means google wants to own both the question and the action
