I remember when all my haters called me stupid and laughed at me for investing with Elon to buy Twitter/𝕏 in 2022 saying I was going to lose everything and that I’d never get my $ back at an overvalued $44B valuation. Many didn’t even believe me when I said I really did. Fast forward to today, 𝕏 is now xAI (one of the hottest private companies in the world) and is also the #1 news app in over 157 counties. Well. My team is out. Belgium sent us home 4 to 1, and I have made my peace by eating a waffle out of pure spite. So now I watch the rest for the love of the game. And I have picked a horse. Well. Actually, I picked a longboat. I am riding with Norway. Five and a half million Vikings against the entire world, led by that six foot four Norse god Erling Håland, who already threw Brazil off a cliff on Sunday. Do not act like you are not watching too. Now, some perspective, because people forget how hard this thing is to win. In 96 years, only eight nations have ever lifted the World Cup. Brazil, 5. Germany, 4. Italy, 4. Argentina, 3. Uruguay, 2. France, 2. England, 1. Spain, 1. That is the entire list. And here is the joke nobody says out loud. Every single one is from Europe or South America. Every winner, every finalist, 96 years running, two continents. The Dutch, the Hungarians, the Swedes, the Czechs, all European bridesmaids. Nobody else has ever even reached the final. So let us be honest about what this actually is. The World Cup is a European and South American Cup, and the rest of the planet gets a lovely invitation to come lose in the group stage. And before anyone cries, we would do the exact same thing. Give us a World Championship of American Football and it plays out identically, just with the flag flipped. Sure, Belgium shows up. Curaçao shows up. Everybody gets a jersey and a nice hotel. And they all go home in a barrel. Even Canada, right next door, cannot hang, because they are off playing their mutant cousin version with three downs and a field the size of an airport. Bless them. It is almost football. That is what a home sport looks like. The World Cup is just soccer’s version of it. And two of the names on that trophy belong to countries that do not even exist anymore. West Germany won three titles before the wall came down. Czechoslovakia reached two finals before it split in half and vanished off the map. Whole nations came, competed, and disappeared, and the trophy outlived them. So here is where we are, and the bracket does not care about your feelings. Argentina still has to get past Egypt today. Switzerland draws Colombia today. Then France gets Morocco, Spain gets Belgium, and my Norway gets England. You have to pick one. Everybody does. And it says everything about you. Some of you will pick the favorite. The safe money. The chalk. And some of you will ride the long shot, the little country nobody believes in. So which are you. The one who confidently picked the Soviet Union to win gold in 1980, right up until a bunch of American college kids walked onto the ice and ruined your whole afternoon? Or the one who always, always bets on the miracle? I know my answer. Five million Vikings and a thunder god. Skål. Let’s ride.

Songkran is a traditional Thai New Year celebration. Currently, it is an official public holiday held annually from April 13th to 15th, and in 2023 it was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Originally a solemn ceremony involving the purification of Buddha statues and the hands of elders with water, it is now widely known as the world's largest "water festival," where people splash water on each other throughout the streets. 2026 Event and Precautions Dates: Primarily held from April 13th (Mon) to 15th (Wed), 2026. Main Locations: Bangkok (Khao San Road, Silom Road), Chiang Mai, and Ayutthaya are particularly famous. Tips for Participants: Since you will almost certainly get wet if you go outside, it is essential to put valuables such as smartphones in waterproof cases. Also, it is important to be mindful of manners, such as not splashing water on monks or police officers. Current Situation on Silom Road Overwhelming Crowds: Over 140,000 participants have gathered on Silom Road today alone, creating an extremely crowded and impassable environment. Pedestrian Zone and Restrictions: Approximately 2km of the road from Sala Daeng Intersection to Nararom Intersection is completely closed to vehicles and opened up as a massive water-throwing area. High-Tech Safety Measures: This year, AI-powered surveillance cameras and facial recognition systems have been implemented, allowing authorities to monitor crowd levels in real time and guide people to avoid dangerously crowded situations. Strict Adherence to Etiquette: Multiple security checkpoints have been set up based on the "5 P" rules (no water guns, no alcohol, no powder, no revealing clothing, and water conservation is encouraged). Incidentally, today (April 13, 2026), the area around Silom Road is experiencing the peak of the hottest period of the year, with extremely harsh temperatures reaching 37°C to 38°C. During Songkran, events held on Silom Road and the surrounding areas attract many gay travelers from all over the world, primarily from Asia. Main Country Trends East Asia (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea): This is the largest group. Participants from China and Taiwan are particularly numerous, often visiting in groups during long holidays. Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines): Many people also come from neighboring countries. Malaysia, in particular, is among the top countries in terms of tourist numbers to Thailand as a whole. Japan: Songkran is a "regular event" within the Japanese gay community, and many Japanese people stay around Silom every year. Europe/Oceania (USA, UK, Australia, etc.): The number of participants is smaller compared to Asia. (The man in this video is a very famous professional bodybuilder, but he's probably not gay (^_-)-☆) 🇹🇭🌞🌅🏝️🕟💪😎💦💧🔫🇨🇳🇹🇼🇰🇷🇭🇰🇸🇬🇲🇾🇻🇳🇵🇭🇯🇵👬👭👫🧑‍🤝‍🧑🌈🥳

Michael Garrett - NC Senate's Viral Statement on the Bad Bunny Halftime Show “I watched #BadBunny deliver the most American halftime show I have ever seen. Then I came home and watched it again. And I am not okay. In the best possible way. He sang every single word in Spanish. Every. Single. Word. He danced through sugarcane fields built on a football field in California while the President of the United States sat somewhere calling it “disgusting.” Lady Gaga came out and did the salsa. Ricky Martin lit up the night. A couple got married on the field. He handed his Grammy, the one he won eight days ago for Album of the Year, to a little boy who looked up at him the way every child looks up when they dare to believe the world has a place for them. And then this man, this son of a truck driver and a schoolteacher from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, stood on the biggest stage on the planet and said “God bless America.” And then he started naming them. Chile. Argentina. Uruguay. Paraguay. Bolivia. Peru. Ecuador. Brazil. Colombia. Venezuela. Panama. Costa Rica. Nicaragua. Honduras. El Salvador. Guatemala. Mexico. Cuba. Dominican Republic. Jamaica. The United States. Canada. And then, his voice breaking with everything he carries, “Mi patria, Puerto Rico. Seguimos aquí.” My homeland, Puerto Rico. We are still here. The flags came. Every single one of them. Carried across that field by dancers and musicians while the jumbotron lit up with the only words that mattered: “THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE.” I teared up. I’m not ashamed to say it. I sat on my couch and I wept because THAT is the America I believe in. That is the American story, not the sanitized, gated, English-only version that small and frightened people try to sell us. The REAL one. The messy, beautiful, multilingual, multicolored, courageous one. The one that has always been built by hands that speak every language and pray in every tongue and come from every corner of this hemisphere. That is the America I want Jack and Charlotte to know. That when the moment came, when the whole world was watching, a Puerto Rican kid who grew up to become the most-streamed artist on Earth stood in front of 100 million people, sang in his mother’s language, blessed every nation in the Americas, and spiked a football that read “Together, we are America” into the ground. Not with anger. With joy. With love so big it made hate look exactly as small as it is. And what did the President do? He called it “absolutely terrible.” He said “nobody understands a word this guy is saying.” He called it “a slap in the face to our Country.” The leader of the free world watched a celebration of love, culture, and everything this hemisphere has given to the world, and all he could see was something foreign. Something threatening. Something disgusting. Let that sink into your bones. The man who is supposed to represent all of us looked at the flags of our neighbors, heard the language of 500 million #Americans across this hemisphere, and felt attacked. That’s not strength. That’s not patriotism. That is poverty of the soul. Here’s what I want to say to everyone who posted about that show tonight, who shared it proudly, who turned away from Bad Bunny’s celebration because it was in Spanish and the flags weren’t only red, white, and blue: Your children will see those posts. Your grandchildren will find them. The internet doesn’t forget. And one day, when the history of this moment is written, when our kids and their kids look back at 2026 the way we look back at the people who stood on the wrong side of every bridge and every march and every moment that mattered, they will know exactly where you stood. They will see who chose Kid Rock over a hemisphere of flags. They will see who called love “disgusting.” And they will carry that knowledge the way all of us carry the knowledge of what our ancestors did when they were tested. The only thing more powerful than hate is love”

America Is Closed: The Tourists Are Going Elsewhere! While America turns visitors away, the rest of the world is having the time of its life. Europe recorded 793 million international tourists in 2025, up 6 percent on pre-pandemic levels. France alone welcomed 102 million visitors, generating a record 77.5 billion euros in tourism revenue. The tourists are out there. They have money to spend and planes to board. They are simply choosing not to spend it in America. International arrivals to the United States fell for the ninth consecutive month in January 2026, down 4.2 percent year-on-year. Global tourism spending grew by 6.7 percent in the same period. The world is traveling more than ever. It is simply choosing not to travel to America. The Canadian Collapse Canadians, historically the single largest source of foreign visitors to the United States, have stopped coming. Road trips across the border fell 30 percent in the most recent month. Air travel from Canada is down 24 percent. Airlines cut 450,000 Canada-US seats in the first quarter of 2026 alone. The projected damage from the Canadian boycott stands at 5.7 billion dollars. “In my 37 years in the travel industry, I have never seen anything like what the Canadians have pulled off,” said Amir Eylon of Longwoods International. “This is one that’s being felt, and it’s not going away quickly.” The cause is not mysterious. Trump floated annexing Canada as the 51st state while slapping punishing tariffs on Canadian exports. Something snapped. Sixty-two percent of Canadians now say US policies have made them less likely to visit. Snowbirds are canceling Florida. Some are selling their American vacation homes. Toronto-Cancun is now Mexico’s busiest international air route. Europe and Asia Turn Away Germany, France, and the United Kingdom have each updated their official travel advisories for the United States. German visits fell 11.6 percent in 2025. France lost around 950,000 visitors. One European tour operator summed it up: “Five years ago, the United States was the go-to destination. Now, many of our clients are choosing destinations that are easier and more welcoming.” China and India, the two great growth engines of global outbound tourism, both recorded steep declines in US visits. India’s drop of 15 percent in mid-2025 was the first since the early 2000s. They are simply choosing destinations where entry does not feel like an interrogation. Chinese arrivals to Europe are projected to grow 28 percent. Indian arrivals, 9 percent. What Has Actually Happened The United States did not lose its beaches or its national parks. What it lost was its reputation as a country that wants you to come. A travel ban covering 19 countries, biometric requirements on all non-citizens, widespread detention reports, and a proposed rule requiring Visa Waiver travelers to submit five years of social media history: these are the choices that produced this outcome. The World Travel and Tourism Council estimates that social media rule alone could cost 15.7 billion dollars and 150,000 American jobs. New York City lost 4 billion dollars in tourism revenue in 2025. Nevada’s hotel industry recorded a 6.7 billion dollar shortfall. The 2026 FIFA World Cup was supposed to be the redemption arc. It isn’t. Five countries have issued travel advisories warning citizens about attending games on American soil. Hotel bookings in host cities are running behind projections. The tourists are not gone. They are in Mexico, Japan, Portugal, and Spain, spending freely in places that do not require them to prove they are not a threat. Trust is slow to build and fast to lose. Right now, the United States government is doing everything in its power to signal that it does not particularly want them here. The world, it turns out, is listening. Europe 2026 looks great ☀️🍻🍾 Stay connected, Follow Gandalv Gandalv
