Google Just KILLED The App Store

This is a solid feature, but the “killed the App Store” framing is overstated. Google just made it easy to vibe code a private, personal Android app in AI Studio and install it on your own phone via a personal Play library no $25 developer account, no review, no public listing. That’s a genuine drop in friction for custom one off tools. It does not replace the public Play Store, remove the 30% cut on commercial apps, or let anyone freely distribute to millions of users without going through the normal process. The bigger shift is that “write a prompt, get a working app” is now real for personal use. The classic App Store model (discoverability + payments + distribution) still exists for anything meant for other people. Apple will almost certainly match the personal app side soon.

Apple is a terrible bad product

Who are you any more lol Used to be funny satirical troller guy. Now… smart insight guy?

Great video bro. Going to share. Thanks for sharing your know how with us.

Not exactly. If you've ever vibe coded anything, it's far from as easy as this. Maybe in two or three years I'd continue to improve at this pace

Yeah I was using Grok Bot to build an app for Android and its in test right now. Its been near easy to do

Damn I didnt even hear about this.. they keeping it hush

You don t know what you are talking about

I actually do but thanks for your opinion

Nigga why you look 60 now

Bitch from chemo

Google may have killed the Google Play store, but they haven't come close to killing the Apple App Store. And I suspect they won't any anytime soon. For everyone that owns an Android, good luck! 😂

google slashed 30% fee, app store dies

Why you look like the camel cigarette

Why is this camal screaming

I've no idea what he's on about.

AI wars are getting vicious

crazy times, something brewing?? 🤯

Ksubi gang

fook da apps. just use Brave + a bookmark/direct web address for 90% of this stuff. PWAs or a clean browser already beat most native apps—no store, no review, no tracking bloat, works everywhere. Google’s personal AI app thing is neat for one-off tools but the real kill shot is people realizing they don’t need the App Store at all lol.

Had no idea nice coverage Nick

Prompting a game does not mean having a nice game. Even as you put work in, there is no guarantee that it's playable and keeps people hooked... They basically destined the Android App Store to become a slop store.

Seems like a freer market, special interests are never a reason to institute protectionism. may the wheels of progress roll on, even over the bodies of innumerable programmers

You have a beautiful honker!!

dude..

Ya'll Sold.....Ohhhh Noooooo, Ohhhh Mannnnnnn, Wooooooo!!!!

Could you please put a paper bag over your head when you record these videos?
