Google just launched an AI that takes over Chrome and does things for you. It scores an insane 90.5% w/ tree search on the WebVoyager benchmark which has tasks like: "Book a flight from SF to Berlin, departing on March 5 and returning on the 12" Agents are going mainstream.

Check out some of the other tasks in the WebVoyager bechmark: It spans Recipes, Amazon, Apple, Arxiv, Booking, Flights, Maps, GitHub, HuggingFace and WolframAlpha (last 2 are hardest)

Google is back. Perplexity and ChatGPT search has chipped away at Google’s search dominance before, but Google has the most training data (Google Index, YouTube, etc.), distribution channel and lots of AI talent, let’s see.

It's a step in the right direction! I wouldn't say they're back until I see stuff like this in users hands and working. It's not like Google hasn't overpromised and killed things before.

What a day it has been for Google. The day that OpenAI has a very basic ChatGPT for iPhone launch attracting a bunch of hate they launch what could basically be the first consumer adopted Agent framework + native Chrome integration Google is back!

What normal person is going to trust an AI Agent to spend $2000 of their own money and potentially get it wrong anyway? It will probably choose the middle seat too

This but for booking IRCTC Tatkal ticket :)

Google teases AI agentic features for 5+ years now (remember "Google AI making phone calls" 2018 demo?) Not worth looking at until it's shipped (could be never)

Google launched another waitlist

Omg I am just sooo amazed and stunned and I started to get serious about Google as soon as they shifted their attention to NotebookLM since then they have done so much in so many ways and they are miles ahead of every other competitor
