I'm all for AI but it seems like the rush for AI dominance could lead to some nasty things happening. Maybe pump the breaks and ensure i's are dotted and t's are crossed at this point.

How do they know how long it would take, when they just did it in the time it took. Seems like alot of hype to me. Still can't get unbiased search results but we got this 🤣🤷🏼‍♂️

Yup - our current encryption methods could easily be broken by this and would need to be replaced by quantum cryptography over time

It’s definitely a risk for some cryptocurrencies but Bitcoin seems to be “quantum-resistant” (for now). Here is a good article discussing it:

What about crypto. Is it possible to produce Bitcoin or hack the chain on QC? Does it makes Bitcoin obsolete and unreliable?
