I sat down with Robby Stein (Robby Stein), Google’s VP of Product for Search, at Google I/O. Robby is one of the most interesting product leaders in tech: he helped build Instagram Stories, Reels and Close Friends, and now leads core Google Search products including AI Overviews, AI Mode, Lens and ranking. We talked about one of the biggest shifts in the history of the web: Google Search becoming AI-native.
