I was getting ready to leave my last assignment in California in 2015 and the Inspector General team was at my base. I rode out to the flight line with the team. I asked, ‘Who is going to be the QB at Steele this year?’ Half the bus turned around and looked at me. 🤣🤣🤣 New QB was going to be Xavier Martin 👍👍

Good Morning you lovely people! Back to work after a lovely break with the family. Got a lovely breakfast at Dinos today. Nice and busy. I’m working the fish stall today, got mattresses going out on delivered and I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. We live in uncertainty at the moment with the cost of materials, fuel and everything going up. Politicians don’t seem to care about all us lot going to work day in day out keeping this beautiful country going. But please don’t give up, tough times don’t last but tough people do. Mike Dunleavy Jr. says the Warriors are not in a situation to fix everything in free agency but they’re looking to put together a good team going into training camp: “I think there’s where you want to be in September when training camp starts, and there’s where you want to be in the spring as you try and compete for the postseason and get in the postseason. We have a couple transaction cycles here in the summer and then once again in February where we feel like we can build and maximize our team. And so I think the biggest thing is to put together a good team going into camp. And as I mentioned before, a lot of the improvement for us is going to have to come from within our habits, taking care of the ball, doing the little things. Get that knocked out, you get on your way to having a good season. We need to stay healthy and then get those guys (Jimmy & Moses) back, and then we’ll see at the trade deadline and we’ll evaluate everything. But this is not a fix-everything over the next couple weeks in free agency. We’re not in that situation based on some stuff we have going on, but we can get a lot better. You honestly cant just dismiss Thomas Frank as a candidate for our managers position because "hes Managing Brentford" He started as an Assistant Manager at a mid table Brentford in 2016 Got promoted to Head Coach in 2018 Took Brentford to 3rd in his first full season Then got them 3rd and won the playoff in his second season Got them to mid table in the Prem in his first season beating Arsenal on the opening day, and got some big results ever since like winning at Chelsea, beating Peps Man City, Klopps Liverpool, and got them to the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup this season This is Brentford we are talking about. A side who had never tasted Premier League football before Frank, and a side who we all know are punching above their weight. The work hes done there is impressive and he has every chance of becoming one of the Worlds best coaches Im fully supportive and excited at the thought of bringing him to N17, and I think everyone else should be too if we can manage to get it done 🇩🇰

Donovan McNabb is confident Jalen Hurts won't repeat yesterday's 5 turnover game but him and the Eagles need to come together and iron things out "I'm very comfortable with him. But they got to come to a happy medium. For Jalen, when I look at the way that he plays and he brings, if he protects the football, we almost become the New York Giants with Eli was looking bad in the regular season. And then all of a sudden come playoff time he looks like an all pro quarterback. And that's kind of where we are right now. And that's kind of how our runs have been."

Nkosingiphile Ngcobo was always poised to play an important role in the team from pre-season. He was central to many of the positive aspects of our play during pre-season. Although he didn’t start the season as a key member of the team and wasn’t used effectively in the early stages, the recent tactical evolution within the club has once again positioned him as a key element in the team’s playing structure. Mshini has to play this season with a level of intensity that demands both physical and mental resilience. It’s encouraging to see his commitment to improving his fitness. His dedication to extra work beyond club training remains consistent, even after years of mixed fortunes in terms of game time. Despite limited opportunities, he has continued to focus on refining his physicality, fitness, and conditioning. This season will demand even more from him, but it’s reassuring to see his determination to stay sharp, look good, and be ready whenever the team requires him. I genuinely appreciate the continued work Bukhosi Nyoni is doing with him from the time Mshini was making waves as a youngster in the CAFCL to this day — it shows a positive relationship beyond football and a clear intent to elevate his game and sustain his readiness for top-level competition. He continues to take good care of the ball in that engine room, and this version of Mshini looks highly competitive and confident. ❤️✌🏾

One of the best parts of the work In The (D3FB) Huddle & I do for #d3fb is getting to meet new teams -- especially the players -- who we talk about all the time on our show. During our Pregame Show Thursday, UW-La Crosse Football players recognized me eventually and obviously had read "Quick Hits" on D3football.com (knowing that I picked against UWL in the game). As you could expect, this didn't set well with the UWL players, so they razzed me all pregame, during-game, and postgame about the pick & the score. However, it was all in great fun, and JB & I know how to laugh it off with the players. Below, you'll see a part of our Pregame Show where the UWL players took the field -- and let me have it as they were behind us -- and a part of our Postgame Show where during our @UWLCoachJanus interview, Nate Wilcher gave me one last blast from off camera. We brought him on our set and had a great impromptu moment with him. Again, all in great fun. UWL has a great team -- my pick deserved to be panned by them early & often. But more importantly, the team was respectful & appreciative of the work we do to promote them. That made all of our work yesterday a pure pleasure. We look forward to making the trek to Wisconsin someday -- or perhaps see them in Texas in January -- to continue to build this friendship. Head coach Dave Aranda's full quote on what he would say to frustrated fans: "We’ve got a bunch of really, really good people in the program that are doing everything they can to get wins and to make it an entertaining product for the fans. It means so much when there are fans there and there’s a home-field environment. I look at the guys that are on our team right now, who have been through so much and are such quality football — really good football players — more than that, but just quality people. They’re the type of people that maybe some of the people who are talking about them knew them better, would be all for them, and support them no matter what. I think for them, to have it where their work is being rewarded with people that got their back in a critical game would be cool, but I understand what you’re saying. I can definitely see that."
