I spent a week ignoring everyone who said to switch engines. Day 7, I pivot. You were right. Building GTA 6 with a loop of AI agents. I spent the entire day on one thing: Swapping the project out of Godot and onto Unreal. Yesterday I said I'd test Unity and probably skip Unreal. You guys pushed back hard: if you're serious about AAA, get on a real engine. so here we are. What a full day of "just setup" actually looks like: - Installed and configured Unreal - Fought it onto a Mac build (the metal toolchain nearly ended me) - Migrated the project over - Got into a real Map and building assets - Got a scene rendering with real lighting First time this actually looks like GTA instead of a prototype of it. I'm still wiring the agents into the editor and point the loop at a real engine. Feedback is appreciated!

We live in the solo founder era. That's for sure and building with AI has accelerated. I am building software to use for myself and replace the expensive tools I used to use. And partially thanks to AI we can build faster, but not dramatically faster if you want to build a commercial grade product. Before I was using a live chat and customer support tool that costed around 50-100$ a month. This helped me to interact with the customers of my agency or prospects. But I decided a few months ago to build my own and stop paying for these more expensive solutions. I did and turned into a product for everyone to use. The build was not 1-2 hours of work using AI, but it was a several-month process on and off as I needed it. Finally, it has turned into a commercial grade product. I have built several of these and this is when we will see more and more solutions like these. Let's start bootstrapping before showing MRR figures.

"It's just a flesh wound!" 😁 I filmed this about a month ago; for his safety I had to wait until he got out of hospital and left Kyiv to actually publish the video. I didn't know it at the time. But it turns out I actually spoke to Kanyuk and another soldier at his position a few months ago. They had a problem with their generator, and I was helping them debug it. In the end I found a replacement generator small enough to fly into forward positions on a vampire drone, a technique that we used for a different forward position that had also lost its generator.

But I quickly realized every tech podcast looks the same. Including mine. And I got bored. Then, I got inspired by new formats from shows like TBPN and indievc, and tested a few episodes where I got out of the office (with my dude Semil) and out into the real world and ditched the prep materials. It was a lot more fun, and the viewers seemed to like it, too. So today, we at Lightspeed are launching a new show dedicated to just that: No office, no Zoom, no filter. It's called Out of Office. The first episode, featuring my good friend Casey Neistat, drops on Tuesday. It's a good hang. Subscribe below. K thanks.
