Officers are appointed, the President is appointed elected. Therefore the 14th Amendment wouldn’t apply to the President as they’re not an Officer of the United States. ▫️Debate Topic: Whether January 6th qualifies as an “insurrection” and whether Trump’s actions meet the amendment’s requirements. ▫️Supreme Court Ruling: This section of the amendment does not apply to the presidency.
