Next step is to remove chips and other ultra processed foods. Should only be able to get the bare necessities from food stamps. It’s an aide not a lifestyle. It should help people but encourage them to get back on their feet and be self sufficient if they want specific foods!

All toxic foods and drinks must be removed from the shelves period! For ALL citizens. There may be nothing left for most of our food isn't fit for human consumption, why delay?

A ban on junk food adverts has come into force today, in an effort to tackle childhood obesity. It means food and drinks high in fat, salt and sugar cannot be advertised on TV before 9pm and at any time online. It applies to some breakfast cereals and sandwiches, as well as to more obviously unhealthy foods like chocolate, pizzas and soft drinks.

I visited Dr. Shad Marvasti and other community leaders at Native Health in Phoenix, Arizona, to learn about their innovative work using healthy, locally-sourced, unprocessed foods to combat chronic disease. Native American communities experience some of the highest rates of chronic illness in the country, largely due to the prevalence of processed foods. Native Health stands as a powerful example of how food and lifestyle changes can help reverse this epidemic. This model should be replicated and become the standard of care across Indian Country.
