Following the arrest, Governor Adeleke petitioned the then Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to transfer the officer that made the arrest, CSP Moses Lohor out of Osun State. That was how the case was swept under the carpet. Since that time, Nurudeen Alawonle has been linked to series of political attacks against Osun APC members. But strangely, he has been untouchable as he is said to be harboured in the Government House. Governor Adeleke must be pressured to produce Nurudeen Alawonle for prosecution.
