Gpose tutorial on Ktisis Environment Editor & Lighting. Though everything is pretty much self-explanatory as shown in video, I will highlight a few in reply!

I use... GShade - Shader Anamnesis - Posing Ktisis - Lighting & Environmental Editor Brio - Crowd Control (Not used here) & Wetting OC “All Gposes are awesome, as long as they’re enjoyed throughout the process.”

Each map has its own sky, weather, clouds, and color aspects. Some of them are not fixable, so it is best to start from a map where your GShade or ReShade feels at home. My favorite place to gpose is Tuliyollal; it has great natural lighting, vibrant colors, and an open sky where almost everything is controllable through the Environmental Editor.

Composition Try to use the space on your screen. I mostly take portrait photos of my character standing up, filling the frame evenly. Unless you intend to blur out the unused background, pick a pose that doesn’t waste space. I find desktop (landscape) orientation challenging because the OC is usually posed in the middle, leaving empty space on the left and right. See the two example sets below. I originally took the shot in desktop orientation, but the empty space on her left and right bothered me, so I retake it vertically. Both are pretty good Gposes, but always consider “How would this look in desktop vs. vertical?” You may find the other orientation more pleasing. Guest OC; @melonasawara

Sky & Utilization of Side Clouds Changing the sky can be beneficial when you want to create a specific atmosphere, especially in maps where certain lighting isn’t possible. The skybox in Ktisis’ Environmental Editor gives you a lot of skies to use in Gpose. It changes the overall atmosphere and lets you plan how the lighting hits your OC. Pay attention to Cloud Color — the clouds are usually still vanilla and stuck on the default color. After changing the sky, pick a Side Cloud that fits your scene and adjust the Cloud Color to create a sky you like. Example: A sunset-themed sky with dark/blackish clouds in The Ghimlyt Dark.

Lighting Order I’ve been asked this a couple of times, so here’s the order I use for my lights: Top of the head → Behind (left and right) → Left and right → Frontal → Highlights (mostly on the hair) And all lights are controlled by: Range – Intensity – Color Range: Controls how far the light reaches and helps prevent excessive exposure. Example: You want to highlight only the hair without the top light spilling down onto the shoulders. Intensity: Strengthens or weakens the light. Tightening the range usually makes the light weaker, so increase the intensity once the range looks right. Color: Think about where the light is coming from. The sky? Street lights? Is there a light source outside the frame? Example: Warm sunset light coming through a window, plus a hint of blue from the poolside.

Particles Maximize Intensity and Size, then in Color, try to give V value more than 255 (Ctrl+Click to give manual value over the maximum value of 255). From there, reduce the Intensity and Size to fit your surroundings. I like to call this as 'sprinkles', as I am almost done with my shot!

Spotlight.fx Minimize the Spotlight size (10 by default, CTRL+Click to go below 10), then the color of your choice (Mostly white) to highlight your eyes. This makes huge difference when it comes to 'dead eyes' syndrome where your eyes does not reflect any lightings due to the angle, weather, etc. All eyes usually have Catchlight where it reflects the lighting and that's where you want to carefully place your catchlight on, making your eyes appear alive.

NightGuy Lighting.fx This is another sprinkles to add to check if it's better with or without. Mostly it works for me, but there are some situations having it is not worth it.

Annnnd that pretty much covers what went down in this Gpose! Hopefully it showed and explained what some of you were wondering. There are other Gpose videos that I recorded in the media tab so feel free to check it out! Please feel free to add a comment in what you wanna see next, or want me to cover in the next video. Everyone happy Gposin' ! 😊

Placing a spotlight on top of the head is an interesting solution to cover more surface than a regular 3 point setup from an angle.

Saki tutorials ohh love it hope people use it for when they do there first gpose you are amazing Saki

This post is the first time I've seen your content, I think. It's inspired me to put more work into my gposes, especially with regards to lighting. Your work is amazing!

This is just insane... How did your camera move with your chara ? :o

Save and loading the camera position

Holy, this is amazing! Thanks!

There is so much to learn from this. Thank you~!

So what would be better to make Gposes with in your opinion? Ktisis or Brio?

Ktisis for me but that's just fo rme. Brio is great tool and has been updating it consistently.

wonder why i can't force particles work :/

Tweak around other values, some area and maps just don't have particles.

oh i was trying it in limsa, thank you!

Honestly love how pervasive the Aetherphone is. It's such a good plugin. I can't wait to review this later.

what bikini is that owo

Thank you for the in-depth guide! Is there a reason GShade is used over Reshade or is it just personal preference?

Personal preference, but my opinion is biased since I never even gave Reshade a try. I am using the filter I made specifically for GShade.

Ain't nobody looking at the menuing

Thank you for always sharing your knowledge Saki 🤍

¿What shadders you use?

Wow that's really cool

This is the coolest thing ever to have blessed my timeline. ✨️💖

Incredibile! So much to learn in one video. Can't wait to apply these on my gpose. Even the hair lighting, I keep forgetting to do. The light reflected from the floor. That's crazy! 🤯

Top tier 😭 Thank you!!!

Yay, I'm bookmark number 1000!!

How do you switch the camera position that fast? Are there hotkeys? :) Thanks for this guide!

Save and loading the camera position :3 done in Anamnesis but you can do it with Ktisis and Brio as well

Thanks to you (i didn't know something like this existed) i found the key for ktisis. Sometimes you need a reason to research something. Ty <3

this was amazing to digest yet again Saki. really puts things in perspective of what you can do if youre intentional with it! Thank you for taking the time to put this together and share it!!
