Just tested Kimi.ai K3 against GPT-5.6 and Grok 4.5 on the same task: build a Subway Surfers game. Kimi K3 was my favorite. Better UI, smoother gameplay, and the overall experience felt more polished. GPT-5.6 was solid too, while Grok 4.5 fell behind on the UI. The interesting part is that all three needed at least one follow-up prompt. Kimi also took a bit longer to generate, but the extra time paid off. Ran Kimi K3 through Nebius Token Factory. Low inference cost + a really capable open source model is a great combo.

The character pipeline is moving forward: animations are now working. I lost some time because Codex occasionally switched GPT-5.6 Sol back to Light/Medium by default, and the difference in task execution was immediately noticeable. After switching back to GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra, progress was much smoother. Using animations from Mixamo, the character can now idle, walk, run and jump. Next: shoes, skin variations and different body types. Then I need to decide what this project should become: • A character generator website? • A reusable Codex skill? • An open-source GitHub repo? What would be the most useful?

You can definitely tell open source is getting really good.

GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra was given a full set of character references and asked to rebuild the character in Blender, rig it, create three animations, export a real GLB, and build a complete Three.js showcase around it. The entire pipeline was completed in 2 hours and 11 minutes. The final model still loses some of the original proportions, costume structure, and material fidelity, but going from reference images to a rigged, animated 3D character running in the browser is already a very strong result. I literally just watched GPT-5.5 via codex beat an Amazon customer associate in real time. 💀 I asked it to get me a refund, and I watched it navigate the settings, cancel the subscription, then it went step further into the help page. I thought it was going to request a phone call (which would prompt me to take over) Instead, it opened: “Chat with an associate now.” That’s when I sat up on my couch because I knew it was going to get real The agent said: “Your subscription is active.” And GPT-5.5 immediately explained that it only shows as active because cancellation leaves access through the billing period, but that I wanted it stopped now and refunded. And my jaw just hung open, it was the first time I watched sand handle a customer service agent for me in real time Once the agent confirmed the refund, it just ended the chat no mercy no thank you LMAO First time I’ve watched a human customer service agent get outmaneuvered by AI in real time. And it made me 15$! almost paid for itself in 5 minutes

Someone vibe coded a fully interactive 3D human anatomy app using GPT-5.6 Sol and Codex, and it started from a single design image. GPT Image 2.0 generated the design. Every organ image was generated from it and converted to 3D models through Tripo AI. Codex took those models, a master prompt and the design image and built the first version. The models were nearly 150MB each and running at 16fps, so Codex optimized everything down to 2 to 5.5MB per model and reduced total assets from 900MB to 28.6MB while keeping the visual quality intact. Codex also generated the anatomical illustrations showing where each organ sits, and created the interactive hotspot markers explaining different parts of every organ. Live and fully open source.
