When I saw the mask "Tribes of the Calf" from Kanbas I knew I had to make it into reality. The jewelry and gold really made it stand out for me. Since Sam Spratt's The Masquerade was revealed, I have been spending time sculpting and dissecting the mask to recreate it in 3D as faithfully as possible. I delved into the creation of this mask for many reasons. I love a good challenge and this mask surely was one for me. Creating something in 3D from a 2D image is not easy, and especially when the source has generative nature, some stuff is hard to interpret, but I tried my best to make sure the visual integrity of the mask is as close to the original as possible. Splitting the whole mask into parts, filling the missing pieces so I can build the textures was quite a lot of work. I tried to present the mask in my own style with a slightly different colorway to adapt to the mask itself. Please enjoy this short animation, and turn on sound🔊 This piece is my statement that I am here to stay. That I have a voice that often feels being lost in the void. That I have been creating and posting digital art for over 20 years now and will continue until I'm gone. I have a story to tell and I want to be heard. The space we have here is small, and is shrinking day by day. It doesn't have to be like that. We need to support each other and push ourselves and people here, otherwise we are all doomed. As Kanbas has put in their observation of the mask: "Inspirational. Emotional. Natural." This is what our space can be, and this is me making a statement with this homage. My upcoming release of "Cinematic AI" has made me think about how bodies of work are formed. I think some are manifested and some are revealed. I think "Cinematic AI" falls into the latter category. It was not something I had a clear vision for and then created, but it was something that was revealed to me over time. I thought I saw a glimmer of it early on, but only after some time had past, could I see the body of work emerge. With a bit more context and watching great artists and how they work and think, it finally came to me that this series of 15-20 pieces that I had created could be a worthy collection to mint. AI art has been going through so many transformations from the early GAN work to Collaborative AI to now AI being widely accessible through platforms like MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, and many others. But one area that I have seen explode in recent months is cinematic AI. I distinguish this from animated AI, which has been around for a while, but cinematic AI is where the movements created by AI are getting closer to what you'd see in a movie or captured on a video camera. It still has a long way to go but it is getting more real than surreal as the technology develops. And this is where I seem to have found my groove, my home, my little corner in the artistic landscape. After Runway launched their image-to-video tool, it just blew my mind and I went down a deep rabbit hole and have created a new cinematic AI piece almost every other day for the past few months. I initially saw many of these pieces as just experiments, but with some time to reflect, I am seeing them as having the potential of being relevant pieces of artwork to mark this time in the development of AI. In some cases, I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to create a similar piece again, since the tools I use are not in my control, but in the control of the AI platforms, who are constantly improving and evolving the tools. Given all of this, there is no better way to mark my place in time than on the blockchain. I truly believe that this body of work has the potential to be an important artifact of this era in AI and AI art. It is always hard to judge ones own work, but what I can do is permanently etch in time on an immutable public database saying that I created this. Only time will tell if the work has any value or is of any significance, but who created it and what was created cannot be disputed. I hope this gives you and especially collectors some perspective on the work I'll be releasing next week. I'm still very early in my artistic journey, but hopefully some of you will see promise in what I'm doing and maybe even put in a early bet on my art practice by bidding on a piece next week. 🖨️ It took over a year and lots of help from Claude Code but I have now been able to create a real dot matrix printer on the web that prints from Windows 3.11 in your browser: Here's the test page: I couldn't get the LPT1 port to work but COM2 did work (the dial up model already uses COM1), the JS receives the COM2 serial data (just raw print data) and then prints it Next is to make the dot matrix printer better looking (kinda 3d like on pieter dot com) and have the paper also flowing in 3d out of the printer and integrate it on the page My idea was that it might work because we also capture the COM1 data (from the dial up modem) and send it to a Websocket as a dial up connection, so we should be able to capture the COM2 traffic too but I didn't know how, but now I do IT WORKS!! 😊

The same kinds of productivity gains we've seen in coding with AI agents are heading to the rest of knowledge work. This is the jump when you go from having a chatbot to being able to actually have an agent go off and do work for minutes or even hours and come back with a complete work output that you then review. Here's an example of the new Box Agent filling out an RFP response from an existing knowledge base. This process would normally take hours to fill out, and requires the full attention of the user doing the work. Now, you provide the Box Agent with the RFP questions, and it will go off, make a plan, extract all the relevant questions, read through existing source material to come up with an answer, and then generate a new word document as the final output. All while you're doing something else. The key to this architecture is that the agent is able to use all of the same tools in the background that a user uses to get work done. The agent can search for documents, read entire files, run scripts and tools in the background, and even be able to write code on the fly to automate tasks it hasn't seen before. And best of all, the Box Agent will (soon) work from the Box MCP and CLI so you can invoke it in any agentic system as a step in a process. This kind of agent complexity would have been impossible even 6 months ago. Models consistently failed at tracking long running tasks or using the right tools at the right moment for the task. But this is all now possible because of models like GPT-5.4, Opus 4.6, and Gemini 3, and is only getting better by the month. Just as we moved from engineers writing code and using AI as an assistant to answer questions, in many areas of knowledge work -like legal, finance, consulting, sales, marketing, and more- when we have a problem we'll just kick off the AI agent to just go work on it for us in the background.

This week we’re getting GPT 5.5 and I couldn’t be more excited to see the first new pre train base in a while Before Spud releases, here’s the last video you need to watch - Greg Brockman perfectly indicated to us 3 important things that perfectly encapsulate the lineage of OpenAI and the mission. 1.This is the culmination of 2 years of research and is a fresh base pre-train that we haven’t gotten for a long time. 2.This is an “exciting release” and it will bring new capabilities (sort of a given but still very grateful nonetheless) & that it is AN EARLY VERSION of what we have coming - meaning they have a lot of RL to do to make this model even better since it’s a fresh pre-train. 3.THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE FLYWHEEL. As he said toward the end, “we have this engine of progress that just moves faster and faster and Spud is just one step along the way.” Depending on the capabilities we see this week from Spud, we may be able to map out if AGI will be sooner rather than later, judging by how much recursive work can exist within this model and the harness. In other words, the flywheel.

Postman is going all-in on AI! Their AI Agent Builder is live (and it's pretty powerful!) Postman's API Network has 100,000+ APIs and they just released a suite of tools for building AI Agents that can automatically discover and connect to any of these APIs. Think about it for a second: You can now build an AI agent that searches the network, discovers an API, processes its documentation, connects to it, and evaluates whether everything worked at the end of the process. This is a huge deal. Every person I know uses the Postman client to work with APIs. Now, they will have access to the AI Agent Builder, a complete suite for designing, building, testing, and deploying agents. I've built a few simple agents myself, and it's tough. The ability to discover and use an API automatically is really exciting (and a huge time saver if it works as promised!) In collaboration with the Postman team, who is sponsoring this post, I recorded a video with my thoughts about the Postman AI Agent Builder.

Playing pro basketball has always been a dream of mine ever since I was a little kid. Being able to travel the world and get paid to play the past 5 years has truly been a remarkable experience. To get the opportunity to live in 7 countries, be immersed in different cultures, meet new people, and play basketball at a high level are memories I will always cherish. Since being back in the States in May, I have had a lot of time to reflect on what the next step is for me and my family. I got my Real Estate License in the summer with the intentions of just doing it in the off seasons, and then get into it full time when I was done playing. But when our daughter Rinnie was born in September, my mindset began to change. Having a family and being a father has always been a dream of mine too. And now that she is here, I look at life a lot differently. It has been amazing to be around family and friends and raise our daughter in our own home right here in our hometown in Illinois. On top of that, I have really been enjoying being a Real Estate Agent and adjusting to the new challenges that come along with it. I still love basketball, but I always knew there would come a time when I’d have to hang it up, and this feels like it for me. Being a father and a husband is the most important thing to me and that will always come first. Knowing that this is the best decision for us really gives me peace in walking away from a game that has been so good to me over my life. Thank you to basketball for giving me the life I had dreamed about since a child. Now, on to the next chapter of my life 👶🏼🏠🌾🇺🇸

If you haven't seen Mr. Robot, I suggest you watch it! This is just early bird access. The options for tools and integrations and such are limited, but what exists is already working quite well. The process is easy peasy. The UI is simple, but effective. It asks you for... 1. Role & Purpose 2. Voice & Style 3. Behavior 4. Rules 5. Tags 6. Avatar image 7. Welcome text. 8. Test drive before publication. ... and that's about it. This free version lets you have at most 3 agents, I am told. This implies that there is also a paid version. I'm all for it, because it sounds to me like VeChain is ready to do real business! I am providing feedback to Jérôme Grillères in order to help improve VeChain's AI agent marketplace. I didn't have to set up anything. The web UI is all I needed! The agent is running on Claude Sonnet 3.7. I did not have to provide a Claude API key. We seem to be riding along on VeChain's. I hope there'll be a choice for more models, including ChatGPT, in the future. This is so user friendly, that I can easily imagine that this would take off in a big, big way. I'm definitely building on this, when it goes into production with full features. Even if my own AI agents aren't successful, then I'm sure others' will be. Today was an extremely proud and exciting day for me. As you know I currently drive my chair using my head on my headrest as my arms didn’t have the strength. But today I got a joystick fitted on my wheelchair and I have now built up enough strength and movement in my arm to use my hand on a joystick to drive my wheelchair. This is a goal I have been trying to reach since 2017 but I simply wasn't strong enough to do it. I have no finger movement but I now also have enough strength so I have a little button you can see on my arm rest that I punch to turn on the wheelchair & to select my menu💪 Ever since I done it today I haven't taken the smile off my face and I am just buzzing knowing that my hard work and stubbornness was worth it over the last 6 years since my accident. The fact I was told I would never move a muscle or a limb again makes it that much sweeter. I told myself that there will be haters, there will be doubters, there will be non-believers, and then there will be ME proving them wrong. I hope I am an example for others to show you can beat the odds! 💯 Thank you so much to everyone on here believing in me and continue supporting me everyday, this success is as much for you as it is for me. Please give this video a share to spread the word so it might give another person hope. Think about the many short AI chats you have in your favorite app, whether it's looking up a historical fact or asking advice about a topic. With Maple Agent, those all go away in favor of the long-running chat with the friendly agent. It's like you have your own personal assistant who knows you so well and can look up anything for you. When I ask AI certain questions, I want to ask an expert who already understands my situation so I'm not repeating myself for the 100th time. That's the amazing value the personal agent brings to the table. We still see great utility for a personal agent like the "Maple Agent". Thousands of people on the waiting list, hoping to get their hands on it, agree that the concept is worth exploring and trying out. We were constrained in launching it due to a few circumstances, one of them being access to the scale of compute needed to power it. We have a clear path laid out for how to get there, but today is not the day to execute on that. It will be in the near future. Instead we have a different agent ready to go that we think is also incredible. We now have an agentic harness inside of the Maple Research app. This thing is a powerhouse. It even builds and publishes its own software releases. The agent in Maple Research works with your local filesystem, speaks to the largest open models running in TEEs, utilizes local models for certain tasks, is compatible with MCP tools, has an API for connecting to anything you need, and also supports the ACP protocol, which means it can be extended in the future to speak to other tools like Claude Code, Codex, and local models running on your own hardware. A big unlock for us was the Goose Development Kit, which powers the core of our agent harness. More on that to come as we publish articles and documentation later about the agent. The agent inside Maple Research doesn't have a name. At least not yet, not sure if it ever will. For now we call it "Chat Mode" and "Agent Mode". Think of this as the workhorse, the truck, the heavy lifter. Our other "Agent", the phone app, is your sidekick in your pocket, ready to help with quick things and ongoing conversations about life. I am incredibly excited about the Maple Research Agent. While I'm already seeing great results using it for internal work items, I'm especially thrilled about the personal health and wellness work it's doing for me. Sora 2 has the capabilities to make an entire anime episode with time and effort. This is a turning point for generative AI models and it is terrifying to think what is next to come. The difference between Sora and Sora 2 is absolutely staggering. Yes, this looks cool. I put the time into it to make it as close to art as possible. This was not simple to make and not just prompting and throwing it in some editor. Every frame is generated of another scene and even the reference image for characters I used to start this project were AI generated. This was all created with 10 second clips pulled apart and chunked out into the final product. Regardless of the imagery you see, I did not directly use any artist's art for this video. This 10-minute video was generated over the course of a week from more than 700 text prompts. It was built on technology trained by scraping the uncredited, uncompensated contributions of countless human artists and animators. The creation of this single video consumed an enormous amount of energy and water, equivalent to powering a home for days and requiring hundreds of liters of fresh water for cooling. But that is nothing. In the 10 minutes you spend watching this, the global network of AI video generators will create over 6,250 more short videos. The combined energy required for that 10 minutes of global creation is enough to power an average household for nearly 2 years. - It's a double-edged sword. While AI uses immense amount of energy has clear immoral issues with scalping the hard work of artists, this also provides those a medium who have potentially spent their life attempting to draw out the ideas in their head and failing to grasp it. My sister is an artist, I grew up always attempting to draw but never could get the image in my head on paper, I've spent the better part of over 20 years to teach myself through watching videos and practice, however I don't have steady hands and frankly have just been unable to make any vision come to life. Which brings me to the conflict here. This would have been a dream of mine to be able to get frames created and flesh out the story in my head. To make this video professionally, it would be an absurd amount of money. A small studio by itself would be over a million dollars just to start up. To hire a studio would be most likely over ~200k. I would love to make this story I have in my head through legit and traditional means, I would love to start a Kickstarter to get funding and hire artists, voice actors, and a production team. However I know that would most likely be an impossible reach that would further fuel the hate. Regardless, I understand the worry this causes. The fear this produces. However, we can't just ignore where AI is currently at and just tell people not to use it or even worse threaten people who use it. People will always use the shiny new toy in front of them, so the real question is how do we either make it work for us and work along side it, or how do we ACTUALLY implement a method to protect art rather than tell people to not use it. Respect your artists. Review their ToS and don't upload their hard work to a model without permission.
