Any update on Windows app?

Conan Reis 🇨🇦8 months ago

Awesome! Congrats. Will Pro users be able to toggle to Codex-Spark in the Windows VS Code Extension? 😁

Emanuele Di Pietro8 months ago

how the fuck did you open that small codex window

shahab8 months ago

isn't Spark actually worse than the normal version? I prefer waiting for a better result?

Mohammed Bin Khamis8 months ago

We got to talk about naming schemes

lena p8 months ago

do you lose reasoning power when using spark vs, say, 5.3 codex xhigh?

Diego | AI 🚀 - e/acc8 months ago

Nice option to have the codex app as little window like the ChatGPT app. Is that in the latest update already? I need that

Siddhant Gupta8 months ago

andrew plssss app for windows. I dont like the bland cli anymore

Westin8 months ago

But what about the routing bug…

dmitry8 months ago

The word “spark” doesn’t sound strong, feels like it’s “under” the main thing, not above. That was my first impression.

what can you build with gpt-5.3-codex-spark? jason liu from OpenAI demos 3 real workflows — ones you can set up yourself inside the Codex app to help you spend less time on overhead and more time building. 00:09 – what is gpt-5.3-codex-spark? 00:25 – workflow 1: multi-agent daily briefing from slack, drive & meets 01:06 – workflow 2: automated PR review 01:31 – workflow 3: real-time interactive coding 02:56 – what speed changes, and what's coming next

Okay this is DEEPLY concerning All my GPT 5.3 Codex requests are routing to GPT 5.2 I ran banteg script through all Codex models and ONLY 5.3 Codex was affected This is really really unacceptable, how can I trust the work done? cc: Tibo / Alexander Embiricos / Romain Huet

I have been using GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark all day every day for 2 weeks now. It's incredibly fast (Cerebras) I had a few moments where I felt I could see the future. So far I've tried it in: - Zed - Openclaw - Codex app - Codex cli / pi This is a clue to where we're heading.

Claude Sonnet 4.6 vs GPT 5.3 Codex Same Prompt in Cursor (Neutral Harness) - Default Settings! GPT 5.3 Codex took - 2 mins Claude Sonnet 4.6 - 7 mins Cheaper than Sonnet 4.6! Faster than Sonnet 4.6! But I'm not sure if it's more craftier than Sonnet 4.6 because Sonnet's got a taste! Claude Sonnet 4.6 had a better result (aesthetically) and also more solid techstack - GPT 5.3 codes meanwhile just got the job done!

Claude Opus 4.6 vs GPT-5.3 Codex aren't just different models. They're different engineers. Opus 4.6: → 1M token context window → Reads the whole codebase before deciding → Asks "should we do this?" → Failure mode: overanalyzes, hesitates GPT-5.3 Codex: → 200K tokens, built for speed → Decides fast, acts, iterates → Asks "how fast can I ship this?" → Failure mode: locks in a flawed assumption early Think: Opus = your architect Codex = your operator Pick the one that matches the task.

What's better than Claude Opus 4.6 or GPT 5.3 Codex? Running them all, in parallel, with a single GitHub Copilot subscription. And all of this shipped just this week.

I just built an entire app in 7 minutes using Codex Spark. EveryMCP: a universal MCP server installer that configures 15+ coding agents from a single CLI command. 12 Codex Spark subagents. All running in parallel. At the same time. The project itself isn't complicated, but just imagine what this looks like when you scale the complexity. My setup: • Codex 5.3 High to plan • Codex 5.3 Medium to orchestrate • 12 Codex Spark agents (xhigh) to implement in one shot Spark isn't competing with the big models. It's a different tool entirely. You orchestrate it. You run it in swarms. And it moves at a speed that wasn't possible before, even for the top 1% of AI coders. More complex workflows coming soon. Comment below if you want me to tell you how I did it.
