GPT-6 Astra in DaVinci via MCP.

Sped up. Many, many prompting iterations to get to this point. DaVinci tends to tear down the entire track and rebuild it at every stage, which is why this was very convenient to record. This process took me more than an entire day to achieve this edit as I took the time to build every single skill and explore along the way. But this is my first edit. I've done more, and they are getting faster.

I've made most of my money as a filmmaker in editorial. I could not be more excited about this technology. Editing should be substantially less time-consuming than it is. Less pain, more creativity, please.

How do you get it to accurately cut ending and beginning words well? Mine loves to chop off the last half of the last word in the cut and the first half of the next cut. I end up with “worlapping” (words overlapping).

i’m doing this with astra raw with ffmpeg, remotion and hyper frames. basically vid gets transcribed, edl generwated and then edited via CLI wondering if i should add in a NLE like this? what’s the main advantage over doing it without computer use and using cli instead? will be testing this with davinci today for sure though. best way to know ultimately! 😂 thank for the nudge!
