Thought this was one of those posts but I believe you now.

It took two turns to add the three assets in the second email though 😂

“It took” as in the model took two passes, or you took two passes steering the model?

I took two passes in steering it

overall I went through a lot of iterations before landing on the final widget -> gets easier after you seta grid structure in place

Yeah this is nice. I found if you’ve composable primitives and a token system in place, they can pull this off. Found it’s true in Figma too recently.

My man, is this real? So designers are now coders, and coders are now also designers.

Very real sir 🫡

Gonna rethink my life

they look very clean! how is this grid thing called? is this like a specific technique?

I’ll do another post about grids

Can you share your prompts to a public gist?

Yeah okay give me a bit but will do it

nice 😎 i think you've sniped me 😅 gotta have a play

I am excited to see what it does with

I genuinely don't understand how they haven't figured out how to bake these principles into the base models yet (alignment + fewer variants across all style dimensions)

did you use any design skill?

No

amazing 👏

Yeah, I’ve been seeing that too. It’s actually pretty impressive at generating UI.

Marvin!

damn dude.

Setting padding and layout constraints first and a base grid unlocked it ✨

These examples look incredible. I hope they make a canvas tool like Claude design.

🙂↔️🙂↕️

Looks like UI that already exists. Noone needs to generate that so what’s the point lol

Wrong mindset and opinion - at least for a product designer. You should be using and testing model capabilities to enhance your workflows

There's no should in design. Whether product or anything else. Having "should" is a wrong mindset and opinion.

Bro, how? What was your workflow llike? These don't look sloppy at all

You have to get the model to understand the underlying grid system and set a clean type scale etc - art direct a few key widgets first also to get a general style and design standard set. After that it gets rather easy.

Do you have any documentation or resource that goes more in-depth into it?

Yeah I’ll do more in depth post on grids I guess. Everyone should read this

@simplifiedamber While I love your original post, this link is pure gold. One of the most fundamental books on graphic design (and a favorite) digitized. Thanks for it.

@simplifiedamber Fully agree Ethan. Non negotiable read for good designers 🙏

I know you said no design skill but would love if you can share some of the prompts or design guidelines you gave it

glad you like the model! is there anything that could be better?

Wait this is without skills?

You are the skill :)

@rowansail thank you and amen 🙏

@rowansail Exactly 🙂↔️🙂↕️🙂↔️🙂↕️

Oh yes, Agar Agar!

I love the song so much

Interesting, I was testing out Astra's video to UI capabilities, I simple shared this video and it almost perfectly implemented 1:1. It even got the interactions and micro-animations right.

are you using a skill or any instructions?

bodega bay

sheesh

Honestly, GPT-6 Astra is pretty damn good at UI. The stuff it comes up with actually looks like something you’d want to use.

Is this really GPT 6

Super clean and modern aesthetic.

👀 ohhhhh

It’s wildly accurate

It’s about time 💻

that's what i am telling peeps but mfers don't even believe

its actually scary good at tailwind my next project is just gonna be me typing prompts and deleting stuff it gets wrong lol

Astra eats Fable on the breakfast. I’m worried a bit about the future in that case. Anthropic is smaller evil, I don’t like to choose betweeen the evil at all but in that case, We are in fucking danger

@oscardumlao Hot

Woah😲

The one and only

Cool
