She also got her husband killed in the first place by sending him outside just because she wanted to hightail it outta there after things started getting hairy

Two takeaways from this movie: 1. No invites to the Juke. 2. Thinking you have “allies” will get you fucked up(Mary pissed me off too!).

It really isn’t lost on me how they all died simply because her anger was worth more than letting smoke form a plan… like yes girl that’s your husband but that his brother? His childhood friends? Like he is hurting too. Your daughter not just gonna invite a mob inside???😭

Yes! It really is us vs the world. People who are your neighbors/friends and should be your allies so quickly “show you the bird” when things get tough, we navigate whilst fighting for everyone and they often only see them. The consequence= WE take the brunt of it and we all lose
