The fact they went THIS HARD for a commercial in the 1980s. And it's a commercial about TV RENTALS?! Was the industry that huge back then that they could invest in something this good??

Oh yeah, adjusted for inflation these babies would run you about $2,000

Those are some AMAZING character designs. Plus the variety! A leopard, a gator, a gorilla, a vulture, and even a snake! I'm partial to the bird and reptiles myself :)

see this just makes me feel bad for the alligator, he's probably already mired with debt from the family radio rental business he's inherited, and now the nationally known brand is setting up shop across the street, muscleing in on his megre business, and we're celebrating this?

I saw with UK ads in the 80's I'm expecting it either being animated by Richard Williams Studios or Cosgrove Hall
