None of this makes sense. At the time, Egypt was hot. Trending discoveries and the explorers that made them famous. This was a marketing ploy to get people to come to the grand canyon at best or at worst streamer behavior circa 1900.

YT man thanks they were first to this land but my ancestors had been here for thousands of years. Even the Vikings made their way here and stayed for 2yrs. There are mounds, located in Louisiana, which are older than the pyramids. An ancient civilization was here.
