Granny loves her pasta twice overcooked and soft as a blancmange

The whole point of eating leftovers is the not cooking again part.

I’d never have thought of boiling the pasta, thanks grandma!

Isn’t this just common sense? If it’s dried out, putting hot water onto it, boiling it, would reconstitute it.

Lies or rage bait — she just boiled a new batch of pasta.

So you've cooked already cooked spaghetti, strained and put it back in the original container. How about you simply portion better how much spaghetti you make, so that your leftovers are reasonable ?

Or just put a little olive oil in it and stir it up when you're done cooking it. Problem solved.

This is disgusting. We don’t have death penalty in Italy, but in this case we should reconsider

Gross! Pasta is so inexpensive. Just make a new batch. Old pasta fried is a delicious, unique taste on its own.

Just make more noodles, they're not that expensive.

Just ignore the italian al dente. But please don‘t call it Spaghetti anymore.

For pasta to be this crusty it would have to have been stored in a not-airtight container for hours, it looks like at least 5 hours. Never mind the ancient grandma wisdom, invest in some airtight Tupperware.

I prefer my method of placing it in the refrigerator after everyone is finished eating.

Granny has no teeth that's why the noodles have to be mush 🤢

You don't have to boil it... The hot water will make it edible in a couple minutes. Especially if you heat the sauce separately...

I don't know what your grandma was using, but my grandma never had a big mess of pre-cooked congealed pasta sitting around.
