It’s because grandpas, and dads, are usually “Up People” whereas grandmas and mommies are more “Lap People”. Tiny kids want big folks who are up high and moving around. Think about it.
Ugh… I completely get it. Our grandkids are all about “Grandpa Fabulous” (Tbh, he’s a lot more fun and chases them around while I cook and read with them;)

Happens with me. I love them dearly and exaggerate my love but so does my wife. I don't understand. I think it that we are more relaxed and we are larger and seem to be safer to a toddler.

This is wonderful, but with our grandkids Nana has Papa beat, hands down. And Papa wouldn’t steal that away from Nana for anything. And Papa still gets tons of loves and cuddles. 💞
