I’m always amazed that they can somehow get grass to grow after building a new highway interchange, with no ongoing watering or maintenance, but I struggle every year to grow grass in the same spots in my backyard, with constant maintenance and attention

My dad and I used to have a hydroseeder. We seeded countless residential yards, and it was pretty much guaranteed to rain the next day and wash it all away.
