Doll: So what are you hearing from your constituents? Because I think it is very important, since you represent the largest military community, for your voice and your constituents’ voices to be heard right now. Jacobs: I talked to one family resource counselor who works with families of deployed service members who told me that right now things are chaotic and in crisis mode at levels she hasn’t seen before, or in many, many years. There is so much stress emotionally and financially on these families. I was recently at an event for military children, reading them a book, and this 8-year-old autistic kid whose mom was deployed was struggling so much because he didn’t know when his mom was coming home or if she’d come home. Our service members know what they sign up for. They sign up to sacrifice for us. But it’s our job to make sure that sacrifice actually is for a purpose, that we have a real strategy and a real endgame. Right now, none of that is in place. Donald Trump won’t even answer simple questions about whether this is an ongoing operation, whether it’s ended, whether troops are leaving, or if the strait is actually open. Rebranding this war is just insulting to our troops who have been there, and especially to our troops who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

I have learned that at one agency, an employee who is actually currently deployed with the military has been notified they’ve been fired. Miller: I'm sorry, I'm confused by your question. Do they stay in when he’s saying he is going to court-martial admirals and generals because I think he wants to fill the ranks with loyalists? You look at this and think, gosh, we really need great people in our military. But I don’t know what’s coming, and it’s really, really concerning.

They’re all about my age; they all could have done their part. What we’re seeing is some confusion from the Republican majority.. All of these offices have been cut, personnel eliminated because the Republican Party is saying this is wasteful, fraudulent.. yet the Republican majority continues to introduce bills to do things that they have deemed as wasteful I just want to know: is this wasteful or is this not?

I've always been a starter and when I've been successful as a starter, no one has questioned whether I have to be in the bullpen or starting games. So, starting from there, just stop that talk, I'm just having a bad season."
