i was just worried about the kid, those 2 dumbasses can do what they want

Fucking stupid to do that next to that baby. Dad needs to be slapped.

You can buy a cheap remote controlled winch at harbor freight.

He uses a winh to lift the back end up at the end of the video. Suppose he didn't want to buy 2

@CCIE_24825 True 👍

Stupid

Did you watch till the end?

The idea is nice but the lack of a secondary (safety) chain or something worries me if the hoist decides to give out that sled is dropping on something, maybe even their kid. ADD a secondary thing to hold it there once it's hoisted up, your kids aren't replaceable.

Not with your child that close.

Cuz this would never work...

"I don't like where this is going...."

He put a wench on the ceiling, he could just put a pulley near the wall and use the wench to pull the machine up the slope.🤷♂️

Situational awareness was not good, That child should have been a lot farther away when he was trying to get it up there.

I'd want legs under to take weight off the front wall.

to make it more exciting, the kid should have been closer while they did it. other than that, great idea for a random storage hack. i mean honestly, why does it have to be at an angle?

Why?

Watch till the end

3 light weight hinges with a 2.4 ledger to hold all that weight. Then they let their little kid hangout under it.....this guy is an idiot. Great idea, just very poor engineering.

The child is way too close to be testing that setup

Retarded. Would've been better parking it straight on the floor, then doing like a library style ladder/shelves. That's without even getting into the absurd lateral load he's putting on that wall.

Move the kid if you're going to do retarded shit like this.

Hey kids! Let's build something and attach it to the bottom truss chord (which was not meant to deal with that kind of weight) and see what happens. I was expecting her to accidentally pin the throttle and have it sail through that wall into the kitchen. So much stupid with this video.

He could have run his winch through a redirect at the front to get it in, then at the end to get it up. I wouldn't store it on a winch or suspended. Put some legs, maybe. I have to say, doing all that with kids right there is wild.

You need gripping on the middle of the ramp to get grip

No not a good idea especially with your child playing 5 feet from possible loss of control of the snowmobile

Don’t worry about CO in garage with a small child there! Wow!

This right here is insane. What is holding that board to the wall, Lag bolts? That needs safety braces and that kid should be nowhere near this disaster

Get your kid out of the way. I see this crap going sideways all the time. WTF?

That is a tremendous amount of weight on that wall

Can afford the toys but not a shed or building to store them in?

I get the idea of it and maximizing toy space in the garage... I would NOT allow my child to be standing/playing underneath that. 99.99% probably nothing will happen. But if the kid isn't there, the 0.01% means nothing.

Stupid idea. The kid will play underneath this and god help him. So friggin dangerous.

These people have zero survival instinct.

Those 2x4s seem more bent under load than I would feel comfortable with.

Is this a safe place for a kid?

That whole system should be made out of square tubing probably 3/32 wall 2“ x 2“ square tubing and then some dead man under each corner bolted in with cross members I wouldn’t trust the 2 x 4 on the wall either

Why the heck would you have a small toddler near you when you’re doing something like that? Would you recover a boat and have a child standing anywhere near the trailer? These people lack common sense.

First off, why are the kiddos anywhere near that while they are doing that? Secondly why not just use a wench? This is stupidity.
