The 2008 financial crisis led to the creation of Bitcoin because toxic assets were created by a poorly managed financial system that left society with the costs. We have an opportunity to build a better financial system that is cryptographically guaranteed, transparent, and gives control of risk over to the parties that it affects most. Our work on Chainlink and CCIP seeks to accelerate the speed at which this world happens on-chain. The White House Digital Asset Summit was an inflection point for the blockchain industry. It is a key step toward accomplishing President Donald J. Trump’s objective of the U.S. becoming the “crypto capital of the world,” which will drive major innovation in the blockchain industry not only in the U.S. but on a global scale. Sergey Nazarov shared his takeaways from the event: • The cryptocurrency and stablecoin markets have reached a sufficient size where they cannot be ignored by governments. For example, stablecoins consist of 2-5% of the U.S. treasuries market by utilizing them as reserves. • The main courses of action in supporting these markets include Bitcoin and digital asset stockpiles; regulations that enable DeFi, Fintech, and TradFi to participate in onchain markets; and making the U.S. the leader in digital asset infrastructure and the number one place where digital assets are created. • For the U.S. to be a leader in crypto, it needs to be the place where base (original) assets are generated, which are then repackaged and sold around the world. Doing so requires creating highly reliable assets that are accessible across all blockchains and embedded with automated compliance. • Chainlink uniquely supports these objectives by allowing various information about assets to be proven (e.g., Proof of Reserve), thereby making them highly reliable. Was very excited about this thoughtful conversation with Jonathan Ehrenfeld, Head of Strategy at Swift. I think it clearly showcases the large benefits of Swift as a private key signing infrastructure, financial standards organization and network for routing key financial messages/information across the capital markets, among many other key services it already provides. It is clear to me that for our industry to go to the next stage, we need to make sure that blockchains become compatible with the existing financial system. Chainlink has a key role to play in making that happen, by simplifying the connectivity of those traditional data, payment and compliance systems into all blockchains, as well as the connectivity of those blockchains between each other. There will continue to be more and more critical data, identity, payment, compliance and other key systems to be integrated into and across blockchains securely, which I feel Chainlink is in a unique position to address in ways no other system can. I am increasingly convinced that the RWA trend is the early stages of getting the traditional financial system onto blockchains in a way that we have not seen yet. Some of the world's largest financial institutions are already putting tokenized funds on-chain, and I think we are just at the very early stages of this trend. Chainlink already powers many of the top RWAs and the need for both data and cross-chain working in one system is even greater here than it initially was in DeFi. There will also be tokenization platforms, which integrate the highly secure and widely adopted Chainlink data and cross-chain standards to power various key aspects of RWA tokenization e.g. Fireblocks collaboration The trillions of dollars in value that will flow into the RWA format makes it something that I see as likely to surpass the market capitalization of cryptocurrencies. Our industry may sometime soon be defined by RWAs more than it is by cryptocurrencies, similarly to how the internet was at one point about email, but then went on to be defined by more uses of information technology e.g. ecommerce. The influx of value into the blockchain format/RWAs will also feed a boom in DeFi, where many of those assets will be placed to generate greater yield. Slides: Video:

Our industry may sometime soon be defined by RWAs more than it is by cryptocurrencies, similarly to how the internet was at one point about email, but then went on to be defined by more uses of information technology e.g. ecommerce. At Sibos 2025, key leaders from Swift, DTCC, and Euroclear joined Sergey Nazarov to discuss Phase 2 of the global corporate actions initiative led by Chainlink. In the initiative, Chainlink brought together 24 industry-leading organizations ranging from major financial market infrastructures to banks and asset managers to demonstrate the success of creating Unified Golden Records that standardize and automate corporate actions data. We’ve added a protocol documentation feature to the contract agent of Wayfinder Foundation so people can build contracts that interact with protocols without needing to drop all the contracts into the chat. The agent has a knowledge base of contracts and protocol docs, so users can make cool, complicated things more easily. To start, it supports Chainlink price oracles, LayerZero OFTs, Moonwell for lending, and Aerodrome for swaps and liquidity on Base and more. You can also create multiple contracts in the same session, and the agent will help plan out what goes in each one. We can add support for other protocol documentation over time - $PROMPT holders will be able to vote on which ones to prioritize next. Right now this feature is still being tested, and the contract shown here is just an illustrative example. It’s an overcollateralized stablecoin: users deposit ETH, it gets wrapped and deposited into Moonwell as WETH to earn yield, and they can mint stablecoins up to a value threshold checked against the ETH/USD Chainlink oracle. If the value of their collateral drops too far below their borrowing power, they can be liquidated. There are some rough edges the deployer can work through using simulations to guide them.
