This happened to my brother in 1979 when he graduated from boot camp and he was the only soldier who's fam didn't come to see him graduate. I was only 8 at the time and just learned abt it from him last yr when he told me abt it. He's carried that pain for 37yrs. 💔

🙄 i went through basic training in 96 and most of us had no shows. It's a personal accomplishment. If you have fanily or friends to show up, great, but its a personal accomplishment.
