Off the back of the news that the DP World Tour PGA Tour and Asian Tour have signed a multi-year partnership, ex-long time European Tour and LIV Golf player Lee Westwood is concerned for the future of the Euro tour. The DP World Tour’s partnership with the PGA Tour means the top 10 players on the ‘Race to Dubai’ automatically receive tour cards to play in America, meaning the DPWT potentially loses their best players to the US tour each season. Ian Poulter was asked about his son, Luke, on Thursday, who's watching dad this week at LIV Golf New York. Gave a really cool answer about watching Luke's success and how nice it was to play well in front of him. "He's on an amazing trajectory: Top 10 in the world, playing great golf, plays golf courses that are exceptional. So he doesn't come and watch me that often. "I kind of had to put a round in today and just show him that Dad's not done yet. It's great. I love having the family come out and watch, and it inspires me to keep playing well."

It’s one thing that Albanese is a habitual serial liar — but this time he’s gone a step further: he’s misled and lied to the Parliament. And worse, Albanese has personally benefited from giving $6 million of taxpayers’ money to Marrickville Golf Club, because it’s been revealed that Albanese owns a property in the same street as the golf club. Any real estate agent will confirm that properties near golf courses are more valuable. So no doubt Albanese’s property benefits from being so close to the golf club. And here’s where it becomes interesting: local Greens councillors were planning to redevelop Marrickville golf course, cutting it back from 18 holes to just 9. Locals opposed this plan — arguing that shrinking the course would make the club financially unviable, warning that if the club went out of business, the vacant golf course would inevitably become a target for developers seeking rezoning for future residential high-rises And if this happened, it would have had a detrimental effect on the values of properties nearby the golf course — including Albanese’s. So Albanese may not have been able to enjoy all the $1.6 million capital gain he’s received so far from the increasing value of this property (also driven up in recent years by unprecedented levels of excess migration) in same street as the golf course - if the golf course was replaced by high rise developments. And as Mayor Darcy Byrne has admitted, the $6 million grant has helped secure the long-term future of the golf club — killing off the potential of high rise housing developments replacing the golf course - something from which Albanese has personally financially benefited. So here’s what we are left with: Albanese has used $6 million of taxpayers’ money in a dodgy grants program, which makes the Liberals’ “sports rorts” look like child’s play. And from this, Albanese has received a personal benefit — and then he’s lied, misleading Parliament to cover it all up. It’s difficult to see how Albanese can now continue as Prime Minister.

The LIV Golf broadcast has just pushed the storyline again about all players, regardless of star power, being open to relegation via the Drop Zone. If applied properly, this has the potential to be the most brutal relegation process in all of sport. The difference between being on the LIV Golf League or dropping down to The International Series on the Asian Tour could be more than a 90% pay cut to their season long earnings. From playing in $25 million purses to $2 million. If everyone is open to relegation regardless of their fame, whether they’ve won a major or many majors, or even whether they won on the league the previous season, then it will add the much needed jeopardy that many, including myself, have accused the league of significantly lacking. It will also be the only major tour in the world of golf that doesn’t have categories. You’re either in or you’re out for the entire year and the only thing affecting that is your performances on the golf course. The players currently in the Drop Zone include Ian Poulter, Anthony Kim, Mito Pereira, Andy Ogletree and new 2025 signings Yubin Jang and Frederik Kjettrup. But Lee Westwood and Henrik Stenson are all within reach just above too. So there could be a potential storyline at the final event of the season where the Majesticks co-captains could be facing off directly against each other to secure their individual contracts for the following year. It’s going to be a dramatic few events for these guys and there’s no where to hide anymore. The time to perform is right here and right now.
