I'm sure you know the line from Spider-Man: "With great power comes great responsibility." But let's flip that, because the opposite is true too: With NO power comes NO responsibility. That's basically what modern society is telling us constantly. When something goes wrong, it’s the fault of the billionaires, the politicians, the algorithm, your childhood, or the century you were born into. Blame something else. And give away the power to “fix” it to whatever smiling politician is offering to “help.” It's hard to hear, but if you have no power and no responsibility, historically, that makes you a slave. We’ve been signing away our liberty for comfort. And to keep us from noticing, they’ve sold us the cheapest counterfeit of responsibility ever invented: outrage. We doom-scroll, get furious, share a post, and think we actually took responsibility and did something. We FEEL like we're making a difference, but the outrage continues and nothing changes. Don't play the victim. Take real responsibility. Make a real difference. Because you DO have great power.
