Make sure to check everything because it's a metric ton of stuff, most of which isn't carried over into English cause of inconsistent translation. "Hey I'll play with some other time" and "Hey guys, better luck next time" in English SA1 and Heroes are the exact same line in JP.

"Hey guy(s), mata asonde yaru ze!" among many other catchphrases are translated to different sentences in English every time which is why English speakers are under the impression Sonic never had catchphrases. It's why I recommend mainly looking for JP clips for your compilation.

Yeah so far she has only done in-game or idle dialogue for Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog and Frontiers I think. The rest still has to be done. Luckily you can just hear if they are saying the same thing without necessarily having to understand it at least.

True. It's just going to take a bit longer to find them all. Luckily the ony games with a lot of in-game dialouge are Secret Rings and Black Knight so I'll enjoy going through those

idk what you mean by non-canon. it is literally used as a catchphrase in canon material idk how you can get much more then that i like the idea of it being tails’ catchphrase though, bc of the ‘do it 2 it’ bit and how tails is heavily associated with the number two…i see it

The issue is, it’s just the same situation as with chili dogs. Nobody outside our niche circle CARES what’s “canon”. If it’s familiar to them, they’re gonna want more of it. We were living in two VERY different worlds up till relatively recently and that’s not gonna just go away

the catch phrase was on SATAM first, any time it got used later was referencing SATAM (which was a beloved show for millennials)

...yeah, this would be the reason that it doesn't work for Sonic "currently" Pretty much the only game it could've reasonably worked in was Sonic Forces. Even then...it still wouldn't really work in that context for Tails.
