That’s The Big Short — iconic scene with Steve Carell and Brad Pitt in Vegas. Whole market partying like it’s 2006, meanwhile the smart money’s already cashing out. Perfect reminder: when the slot machines are lit and the suits are euphoric… the real sharks are already short.

Whenever I get excited about the gold price I think about this scene because a runaway gold price means something is broken or in this case stirring under the surface. Used to dream of a 10k gold price. Now I wonder what the world looms like in that scenario.

The Brad Pitt character was thinking about the Great Depression. The banksters managed to kick the can down the road, and the real ending for that movie is about to be written.

I’ll think I’ll dance. People need to learn the signs that have been flashing time and time again. Ignorance is not bliss, but it is disaster for those who don’t pay attention.

Yep, it’s an impossible situation, wanting the rotten system to fall under the weight of its own corrupt manipulation but knowing the fall itself will bring forward harm to ordinary people.
