Great song. People don't write songs like this anymore.

Some years later, the same song, with the same singers but after playing with Frank Zappa and The Mothers

Hard to imagine...when they broke up...Flo went on to play with The Mothers of Invention...who would have thunk it

♥️

Today's music is trash

The Turtles, saw them in concert several years ago, great music

People don't sing songs like they used to either! Incredibly, Howard Kaylan was just 19 when he recorded this classic. Amazing voice, and he could do it all live as well.

I remember when I was 14 I took Renee Koelsh out on a date to this song. I think it was at a Job’s Daughters dance. Then we went to her house and watched the Monkees…

Flo and Eddie. Went on to parody this tune's impact on their - ahem - 'groupies' with Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention. The album was 'Just Another Band From L.A.'

The Florescent Leech and Eddy…

Es una canción Gay ?

Thank goodness we can still listen to all these golden oldies

Great oldie. 💕

There’s a disheartening story about the turtles meeting their musical heroes, The Beatles. Lennon proceeded to dress them down as copycats, and got really nasty with one of them. The guy was so disillusioned he quit the band and his music career and became a tradesman.

Love the Turtles.

Howard and Jimi got drunk at dinner in London one night before Howard threw up on him.

great memories ♥️
