Won't ever happen again, too many cultural dynamics working against the kind of greatness the 60's - 90's created

He’s right,I listen to rappers now and seems like they are no better than 50 niggas I went to school with. They are not lyricist and artist. They are business men trying to find a catchy hook and fit couple rhyming words in between!A lot of artists now aren’t musical prodigies

This ignorance watch "20 feet from stardom" talent is not enough & greatness gets dismissed: Joshua Bell played incognito in a Washington, D.C. subway station. Using a $3.5 million Stradivarius, he performed intricate classical pieces for 43 minutes, with only 7 people stopping.

Hip hop has an aging problem and a "can't let go of the 90s" problem

Exactly ....anybody disagree you either misinterpreting what he saying or you just don't know shit.. cuz if you go viral and get enough views they will make you a rapper .. they no longer look for talent and develop artist like they used to.. just sign whatever hot bs is popular

Honestly, I think it hit his peak around the early 2000 when everybody had a wrap album and people was complaining that mama rap and this kind of rap and nobody was really singing anymore. People were getting record deals. You should’ve never been able to get one.

That's why I don't like Kendrick Lamar. He is pretentious. He is not the best rapper ever. Idgaf about the Drake beef or the Grammys. Fake sophistication, overly complex language. He aiiight

Nothing wrong with the music now other than older controlling standards fading away. Along with its media catalysts to represent and project the culture’s taste from the outside rather distinguish it internally.

I always tell musicians today that now a days is the easiest to be successful in music if u are actually talented cuz most of it is just a popularity contest but the real music always finds it way to the top because it is GREAT

Well no because we have artist that are full entertainers. Cherish all music and you’ll stop thinking like this. I listen to different genres and appreciate what they all contribute.
