Green Lantern had a production problem before this show shot a single frame. 2011 gave us a CGI suit, a digital world, and a man who lived in neither one. Lanterns had to make him believable before it made him spectacular. Episode 1 understood that completely.

I'm on board. DC took a page from Marvel and made their leads as un-super and nearly relatable as possible til "time". Exposed the flaws.. Allowed the audience to get endeared with the virtues.. And once fully grounded, then they let lose with the sci-fi...

What a streamer speed run this guy had. Went from calling people the n word, to macing them, to shooting them all in a week. ChudTheBuilder shot a man who attacked him outside a courthouse in Clarksville & accidentally grazed himself in the process. Before it escalated, he asked the man if he was going to “chimp out” the man then walked up & sucker punched him. It is unclear if the man survived.

Green Goblin was way more menacing here than from Sam Raimi’s first Spider-Man film because he has fought a Spider-Man before but MCU Spidey never fought a Green Goblin before. Which makes it all more interesting to watch since Peter had no idea that the Green Goblin was just a next level problem.
