I’m a team guy!! So even in my failures I work for the success of others. 😂😂😂😂 @cdejean23 was working too hard to get an opportunity to finish the drill. From the ground I made the pitch, & finished through the whistle. T.E.A.M. For real though Ian check the PEP turf. Something reached up and tripped me. Good drill Coop! Closeout Drill has many variations we’ve worked with. The DB takes off opposite the WR and chooses any of the 3 cones as a break point. The WR must get his head around, locate the DB and closeout the space for an effective block. The yoga ball simulates the ball carrier.

A lot of hitters confuse being late with letting the ball get deep. They’re not the same thing. In this video I show it with a simple example. I toss the ball and reach way out in front of me to catch it. That’s what late looks like. The ball already beat you… now you’re chasing it with your hands. Then I toss another one and catch it slightly behind me. That’s being on time and letting the ball get deep. When you’re late, your body and barrel are reacting after the ball passes your window. You’re forced to reach, cut across it, or roll it over. When you’re on time, you can let the ball travel and still control it. Now the barrel can stay through the zone longer, and you can drive it with authority. Deep ≠ late. Good hitters aren’t reaching for the ball… they’re on time enough to let it come to them. ⚾️ Train with an expert. Not an influencer.

Punting into the wind is hard, so let’s make it simple 👇 1)nose down. Have to control the nose of the ball so it can cut through the air and still give you good distance 2) short step. So essential, especially given that you’ll be dropping the ball lower. You have to still create time for your body to come up through. 3) lower drop table. You have to decrease the amount of time the ball is in the air. Lowering the drop table (in tandem w/ tip 2 does that). 4) hip drive. you never want to collapse underneath the ball… or you’ll actually hit it straight up. Driving your hips through creates the line drive feeling while you can keep connection w your body. Now go survive some 25mph+ gusts. OneOnOne Kicking Camps🏈
