It’s unfortunate he had so many injuries, we never got to see his true potential. On the other hand, I would give a vital organ to have played a single game in pinstripes.

That was prime Andrew Miller he hit that off, too. He was the nastiest LHRP going outside Chapman. Early in his career Cashman said Bird was by far the best hitter in the organization, what could have been if not for a debilitating foot injury.
