introducing knowledge bases. greptile maintains detailed docs about how your codebase works, and uses them during review. for each part of the codebase, it maintains a running list of past bugs. this way, the next time it reviews that part of the code, it knows what to look for. greptile catches 12.2% more bugs with knowledge bases enabled! now available to all users :)

introducing greptile security agent it combines static analysis, sca, and ai agents to efficiently catch security flaws before merge. why did we build this? - coding agents have caused the frequency of security incidents to explode - neither agents nor deterministic methods alone are sufficient for detecting vulnerabilities - security review is best done in conjunction with regular code review because many vulns are really just logical issues with security consequences security review is turned on by default for free for all greptile users.

Insane: 90-95% of Claude Code is now written by Claude Code. I asked Mike Krieger (Anthropic's CPO) what changes when so much of your code is written by AI? His answer: The bottleneck moves from coding/design to: 1. Upstream: aligning the team around what to build. 2. Downstream: the PR merge queue, reviewing and merging all of the new code into production. Anthropic is where other product teams will be in a year or two, so it's important we pay attention. "I would expect that a year from now, the way that we are conceiving of building and shipping software changes a lot. Because it's gonna be very painful to do it the current way."

I have built a Windows x64 sampling profiler for native code+C# to be used by coding agents. Why? Because it is irresponsible to let computers write code but give them no tools to evaluate the performance of their code. Stop guessing, start measuring. -> How does it work? Just point your agent to the profiler and let them measure and optimize. Or record a trace yourself and let the agent interpret the results for you. Works with Claude Code, Codex, pi, etc. The profiler also has a couple of neat features by itself like giving you estimates for how much time your code is spending on memory stalls and annotating disassembly with inlining information. Take a look and try it for free!
