Dude ice takes off a single day of buildup. Your build up has been burnt on for months, maybe years, of course it's not gonna work.

His spatula is not made for scraping his grill. He needs to buy a grill scraper that’s about 16 or 18 inches long and has a very sharp blade disc scrape the grill top, and it will come off with the ice.

What works best is that super sweet smelling chemical, it’s poison for sure but you’ll go home 15 minutes earlier. Just saying.

That ice shit doesn't work on a restaurant flat top because they operate at a higher temp range and it just boils off faster than it does anything else. It can be helpful on a low temp flat top though but just use the scraper, water and a scrub block. Put in some elbow grease.

Turn the flat top down to 150 degrees. Add the cleaning agent. Scrape it, scrub it with a brick and wipe it off. When it’s clear of all the cooked on grime throw some white vinegar on it, scrub with a brush wipe down with paper towels. Add butter wipe and done.

Ice does work, he used way to much I turn my flattop to high for 15 min then use just a few cups of ice and it steam cleans it pretty well when done regularly Dumping 2 bags on a neglected grill isn't going to have good results

If you got the soda machine with that seltzer water button, use that with a proper grill scraper and you’ll be OK.

Are you under the impression that you will get that grill back to silver and shiny again after every time you cook? All of my pans are black on the bottom. They are black, non-stick, teflon free, and never cleaned with soap. You’re overthinking this, it’s supposed to be black..

I think it works well enough if you are using it every night after the kitchen closes. This grill looks like it's seen some better days so it's not going to work on that amount of burnt carbon
