Grok 4.7 works really well with Blender. I’ve been using them to create these rough Raptor engine 3D models, and the improvement in quality is huge. They’re still early versions, but the details are already coming together beautifully.

Grok 4.5 is already in private beta at SpaceX and Tesla. Classic Elon move to test a new AI model: Give it to the rocket engineers and the car-that-drives-itself engineers first. Early access coming soon. Still rough around the edges. Still being polished. But Elon says, “You will immediately notice the intelligence difference.” That matters. You’ll notice. Immediately. I've been putting together an interactive tool called DiffusionLab for explaining the geometric intuition behind diffusion and flow based generative models. Sampling is actually being done in the browser using Tensorflow.js! It is still in the very early stages.

Image-to-3D tools are leveling up fast. I tested img2threejs by Nick on a Canyon gravel bike from just one image, and the result is already super promising. Still early, but you can clearly see where this is going. Next, I’m going to test the exact same image in Blender and compare the final output. Repo below 👇

To me so far the big news with Grok 4.7 is it's speed. The new "fast" mode is actually extremely fast (idk what the TPS is but it's really good) It's very obviously not Astra/Fable class, SpaceXAi (or anyone else really) has yet to make one so far. Grok 4.7 is pretty clearly competing with Opus/Sol, and I would definitely take Grok 4.7 over either of them Price is very good, my gut says it's more efficient but I don't have hard numbers on that yet, and it's got all the main capabilities u need to actually be useful these days: subagents, long running tasks, looping, etc. Supposedly they trained it on the Grok Bot harness so it's really good at conversation + knowledge work. Really curious how that plays out, good product is SpaceXAi's biggest advantage right now so getting the models tailor made for those could work. Especially if that lets them keep the model on the cheaper side so they can serve more of it

The rumored specs are wild: 2.1 TRILLION parameters, roughly 40% larger than Grok 4.6, with better token efficiency and additional training using massive amounts of SpaceX engineering data. Musk has even predicted it will “exceed all current models.” If Grok 4.7 delivers anywhere close to the hype, the AI leaderboard may be about to get flipped upside down. Saturday could be a very big day.

I had an early access to GPT-6 Astra and I can say, everyone in the world now has a 3D designer at their fingertips. I gave it an image of a house and asked to create it in 3D with all the details including toys, appliances and furniture. This a full 3D model reconstruction in Blender with geometry that you can manually tweak and run 60fps as a locally rendered "game" on device.

My new favourite thing is using image edit models like 3D shaders, letting you add textures, effects and materials to practically anything We’ve been busy training a whole bunch of them and will be dropping them over on SYSTMS over the coming weeks 🫡

Update on Coinbase 🛡️ account restrictions The team has been working hard to improve resolution times (see self-serve flow in the app now, and corresponding drop in resolution times). This combined with better ML models (with fewer false positives) has made a major improvement in this issue. Still more to do, but already in a much better place today.
