I use both. And neither is perfect. Grok is much simpler, but has quirks. Like lost credentials, sometimes routines fail to run. Etc. Then, go to Hermes and it feels more powerful (because it is), but also has flukes. And sometimes you have to treat the agent like a baby because it goes off an does stupid things. Same model (Grok in both), but it acts differently depending on the harness. I have to spend more time debugging with Hermes.

Thanks for doing this. I've been seeing GrokBot blow up all over my timeline. I expected it was the algorithm trying to upsell Groks new product so this comparison is very worthwhile.

This is important, because if I am going to rely on a bot, I need to understand how much I will be able to delegate to it in a predictable manner. Otherwise it’s like a black box that spends tokens unlimited.

Hermes is pretty great but the constant lost connections and having to reauth is exhausting. I’d love to stick with Hermes. But I feel like Grok Bot is innovating quickly and it’s fun to get little surprises with new features almost every day.

I have moved all my Hermes stuff to Grokbot, it just works, no hassle. I have codex also for other stuff

Grok Bot beats Hermes Bot for everything i've tried... *significantly* .... even when usuing hermes bot with grok4.6 and grok build driving it. It's not close rn IMHO, Grok Bot is faster and gives better results.
