It really is unfortunate that disney's first shot at making a star wars movie was their only good attempt.

I refuse to believe that Rey was always meant to be the trilogy's Jedi. It was absolutely going to be Finn until they realized that China wouldn't like it. It's such a shame. A Stormtrooper-turned-Jedi story would be much better than "nobody from desert planet number 3"

I would really love to see a star wars show where they blur the lines of good vs evil and follow a group of mudmen through a conflict band of brothers style, and they honestly think they are the good guys.

This just reminded why did they do Finn’s character no justice cause the “stormtrooper to Jedi” story was literally right there and would’ve raised the sequels quality more!

I thought this was going to lead to some of the storm troopers actually violating their orders to get revenge on Finn. Unfortunately the whole theme of this trilogy was "why explain something when you can just not."
