Played Kingdoms of the Dump for 30 hours, here is my review: -The game is a loving homage to classic SNES RPGs like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy, perfectly capturing their atmosphere -A tactical turn-based combat system with active elements, reminiscent of Super Mario RPG or more recently Expedition 33 -One of the most unique settings ever in an RPG -Incredible variety of enemies, all beautifully rendered in pixel art (boss design by Look Outside pixel artist) -The game is divided into multiple acts, taking you through a wide variety of regions and kingdoms -It’s full of charm and incredible attention to detail. Heal with rotting items, fight flying jellyshorts, and save using toilet paper rolls on toilets. Just lovely. -Fun fact: Game is made by 2 real janitors -The original soundtrack is an absolute banger, instantly transporting you back to the SNES era -There’s a Mode 7-style overworld that you can explore on foot, on a mount, or by airship -The overworld invites exploration and is packed with secrets and hidden areas -What brings the game into the modern era is a dedicated jump button. You can jump pretty much anywhere and explore the world on entirely new levels -There are also various characters, each with unique abilities outside of combat, and you can switch between them at any time -Characters are just lovely -The game is wonderfully written and well paced, full of great story moments and twists, but it’s only available in English at the moment -I would compare the difficulty to Chrono Trigger. It’s challenging but never unfair, and grinding is never necessary -If you die in a battle, you can retry it immediately -Enemies are visible before battle and can be avoided -Fast battles, quick in and out -Various battle themes -Fallen characters and those outside your active party still gain experience -The game is pure indie at heart, over eight years in the making and packed with content -Lots of side quests -Dedicated character quests that explore each character’s backstory -Secret weapons and bosses -Dungeons with puzzle elements -25 hours of story content (more with side stuff) -Only 20 bucks (discount right now) -Great on Steam Deck -Full controller support -Sometimes the jumping sections demand too much precision -I ran into a few bugs during my playtime. The game froze, I got stuck in walls, the music sometimes cut out, and I wasn’t able to use an item at one point -I reached out to the developers, and they have already responded with multiple updates Kingdoms of the Dump is a love letter to an era that produced some of the greatest RPGs of all time. It’s a modern classic, only held back by some technical issues. For me, it’s the best SNES game that was never actually released on a Super Nintendo. Verdict: 9/10 #KingdomsoftheDump 👑 Kingdoms of the Dump - OUT NOW

The name “Rampage” originated long before 2018. It spawned in 2009 as I ventured into my very first attempt at content creation. As a 12 year old, I was obsessed with Call of Duty and needed a username to both join a clan and attempt making content about the gameplay. This started my journey into trying and failing over 20 different YouTube channels/ideas between 2009 and 2018 until I discovered the poker niche. I tell this story to set context - it’s extremely easy to look at someone with X number of followers on social media and think everything portrayed like sunshine and rainbows. When you look at all the biggest creators in the world today, everyone started with the same number; zero. The common denominator that sets them apart is consistency, dedication, and a delusional amount of self confidence. I’m not here to compare myself to the top creators but I did put in the time, effort, and work to get to nearly 400,000 subscribers on Youtube. This was by no means an overnight success story, especially competing in a small market niche space like poker. But the reel above shows my subscriber count in 2018, when in reality my journey started in 2009 recording videos with a flip phone that was propped up in a frisbee disc between 2 remote controllers. Talk about bootstrapping. My start with poker content started like a lightning in a bottle, after all my trial and errors with YouTube - I uploaded my very first poker vlog, my best half assed attempt to display a semblance of knowledge about the game even though it was my 3rd time every playing. This was classic 101 larping. But I recall within 24 hours of the upload on YouTube, this video generated over 1,000 views and I FREAKED. This was an unbelievable number that I’ve never seen before in any of my previous content ventures. Immediately all indicators pointed towards poker, there was clearly something special here. And even though I knew nothing about the game, I was going to document the entire journey and used poker as a way to create content.

⚔️ Kingdom Come Deliverance first impressions ⚔️ Loving it so far, basically a medieval detective simulator that really doesn't care that you are the main character. And I'm all here for it. ▪️The WORLD is the real star of the show here and even though it's got plenty of jank and lots of copy and paste NPC faces, it just feels so IMMERSIVE. Even the UI just transports me to the times with a bright colourful medieval art style. ▪️The MUSIC I love, absolutely sells the world and basically ASMR as you trot around on your horse through the world. ▪️THE Combat is a real interesting one, it's got quite the learning curve which I actually LIKE, it definitely has some jank to it as well but I really appreciate the attempt at an original and nuanced combat system. (Having to stop your bleeding with bandages is really cool) ▪️The Story has gripped me (19 hours in so far) And while it seems a simple revenge story on the face of it, I think the story is more about Henry making his way through the world after the horrors of Skallitz. The writing quality is top notch as well as the quest design also. ▪️The CHARACTERS are amazing and the humour is top notch. I'm not sure the last time I laughed so much at a game. Henry is great and so well voiced by Tom McKay This really feels like Warhorse Studios have put a lot of love and work into making an authentic medieval world and as a bit of a medieval nerd I can't get enough of this game. A True RPG as well by all accounts, the game really makes me think hard about how to approach situations. Also I can't wait to get to KCD2.

Recently did an interview with the lead developer of Knight's Path on the title's future release and the state of the industry. The Western AAA gaming industry has shifted its focus away from its core audience, favoring products for smaller, less engaged demographics. This shift has led to a noticeable disconnect between large publishers and their traditional fan base. This has, however, created an environment for indies to thrive. They can prioritize authenticity and community, crafting games that resonate with their players and that is exactly the case with Knight's Path. In December of 2023, Knights Path: The Tournament was released to Very Positive reviews on Steam. It is a short medieval RPG featuring challenging combat, an immersive progression system, and a nice little story. It served as an announcement, a combat concept demo, and a teaser for the forthcoming open-world RPG Knight's Path, which is currently in active development. I asked what their plans were regarding the scope of the full release. While you might get the impression that Knight's Path is an arena fighting game, that’s not the case with the full release. "Knight's Path will be a proper open-world, story-driven RPG. Of course, as a small indie team, we’re keeping the scope modest. The open world will be compact but dense, featuring one town, one village, castle ruins, forests, valleys, and other areas to explore." Many gamers would agree it is better to have a limited number of fully fleshed-out areas than to present a gigantic, empty world. This has been a major criticism levied towards recent releases like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and even modern Assassins Creed, which tends to rely on repetitive gameplay loops scattered across an overly large map, which can feel more like busywork than meaningful exploration. I have always believed that quality over quantity is the best way to go. The team has also made this a priority with things such as the story and weapon types. "We plan to include three main weapon types: longsword, sword and shield, and bows. These will feature the full progression system seen in the demo, with skill levels such as Novice, Adept, Expert, and Master. Players will need to learn individual skills from different trainers to progress. In addition, we’re introducing secondary weapons like spears, halberds, and other polearms. These won’t have RPG-style progression but will still offer variety in combat." Regarding the story, they plan to be bold and strive to create a 16-28 hour-long main campaign. "The story will be divided into four chapters, with each chapter offering around 4–7 hours of gameplay. As in the demo, the player character begins as a nobody, slowly learning how to wield a sword and eventually becoming a knight. However, the progression will be much more realistic than in the demo, where the peasant hilariously transformed into a champion in just four days." This is a far cry from many games that are released nowadays. In just 2024 alone at a glance, the AA release Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn provided an average of 8 hours of content, Princess Peach: Showtime at 10 hours, Silent Hill 2 Remake at 15, and even the GOTY winner Astrobot holds an average playtime of 10 hours. A major issue within the industry is the way we are treated by the people who only have jobs because of our favorite hobby. In 2024 the gaming industry is forecasted to generate $208.7 BILLION dollars, up from 5.4% in 2023. Compare that to Hollywood, which is a measly $12.3 billion. The gaming industry employs 727,000 individuals in the United States alone. So, you'd think these people would have a little bit of respect for gamers, though so many who are vocal on social media show nothing but contempt for us. Perhaps this is because of fear if they do not show loyalty to a cause or "fit in" that they may not secure funding or genuinely believe in what they preach, but the team behind Knight's Path isn't worried about that. "We are independent developers, and we plan to stay independent so we can stay true to our vision. Knight's Path is a game made by gamers for gamers. We’re prioritizing fun gameplay above all, and we firmly believe this is exactly what gamers want." I also raised some questions about their big plans moving forward. In the demo, one of the major criticisms I had was with the voice acting. I had guessed it was done via AI, which was confirmed. "You guessed correctly– the voice acting in the demo was done by AI, and it was probably the loudest critique we received, and we totally understand why! Back then, we didn’t have much of a choice, but for the full game, we don’t plan to use any AI voices. Luckily, after the demo release, many voice actors reached out to us, volunteering to lend their voices to the full game. We absolutely plan to answer their call and give them that opportunity." AI can be a useful tool, especially for developers starting out who can't commit a lot of money to voice acting or just want to see a version of the product that's closer to what they envision the full release to be, but going from that to real voice actors will bump the experience to the next level. I myself played the demo in its entirety and really enjoyed my time with it! I thought the game was reminiscent of Gothic 2 and even The Witcher. I was happily surprised when I didn't encounter any bugs or glitches and while some areas have not been fleshed out like the voice acting, I would recommend putting the game on your wishlist to see what this team does in the future when they finally deliver their updated demo and the eventual full release of the game.

This is one week of rebuilding Soccer Pinball Pro with Astra + Unity CLI. Day 1 vs Day 7. I see so many people on here one-shotting these incredible systems and games, and I’m constantly blown away by what people are building. But my approach with this has been a little different. This isn’t a new game or an experiment. It’s a rebuild of a game I originally made in 2019, and I’ve been trying to stay true to what made that game fun while finally building everything I wanted it to be back then. In seven days I’ve gone from getting the basic game working in a different engine to rebuilding the players, improving the AI, adding passing, tackles, bicycle kicks, better ball feedback, dynamic camera movement, new lighting and shadows, grass, a new scoreboard, goal effects, and an actual PvE match mode. And I’ve been able to iterate on all of it almost as quickly as I can think of things to change. But the important part is that this is my vision. It isn’t a screenshot or concept I pulled from somewhere and asked Astra/Codex to recreate. This is a game and an idea I’ve had sitting in the back of my mind for years. I executed on that idea in 2019, but what I was capable of making then was nowhere near what I had actually envisioned. Unity itself is still probably the slowest part of this workflow. Waiting on compiles, entering play mode, importing, building, and all those little interruptions add up. Unity 7 intends to address a lot of that, which makes me even more curious about where this workflow goes next. The part that excites me most isn’t just how much I can build in a week. It’s realizing I can go back to ideas I had years ago and finally build the games I saw in my head at the time. That has completely changed how I’m thinking about game development. There’s suddenly this massive backlog of ideas that no longer feels out of reach. Unity OpenAI

OFFICIAL: It has been 134 days since the release of Totenreich, which is longer than the search for both Samantha's Drawing, and Gong COMBINED. With the release of s6 next week, it felt fitting to use our platform to get as many eyes on it as possible. As a quick disclaimer, just because things have been 'tested' does not mean it is not the solve. This post is also not an invitation to share your personal thoughts on datamining/leaks. This relic, by everything shown in the game files, can NOT be datamined: "Even in the current state of the game, relics are a lot harder to solve via datamining and ingame hack tools... For relics, only the sequential item ones (like Dancing Arnie and Agarthan device) are incredibly easy. Agarthan device with the helmet, radio, and mr peeks is actually the easiest. Dancing Arnie becomes hard due to it becoming a kill challenge for the lobster and you cant datamine that". Because of that, the leading theory is that the missing piece has to be something kill condition related, or player action related. Below is literally all of the information I could find on the belt that I thought was worth mentioning, to try and help the community solve this together. CONFIRMED: There is a magazine with a sticker of Mr Peeks holding a Geiger Counter that has a pickup interaction, and is located at the top of the lighthouse while you are picking up the Jotunn Star. This only appears in cursed mode, and appears without any relics active. Considering the only other grim relic (power switch) is solved, we know this mag fits in with the wrestlers belt in some way. The sticker comes directly from intel located on Paradox Junction. THEORIES: Treyarch Dev Tweet - One Treyarch dev tweeted out: "It feels very fitting this is the final unsolved relic given the reward... good luck" Coda Wallbuy Sounds - In a video, a user hears a distinct ding sound when buying ammo off of the coda wall buy in spawn. This has been difficult to replicate, but has been replicated by the original user. Disappearing Boxes - There are 7 boxes around the map that have a hit box, and disappear when hit/shot (they disappear fast with melee macchiato). Currently it is believed by the majority of the community that this is nothing Clocks - There are five clocks near Richtofen's office. Dataminers have said "The hour, minute and second hands are all separate individual models stacked on top of the base model. lol I mean it could mean something or it could just be nothing. Their design choices on some stuff is weird But it is a model without a script and isn’t setup to move in any way" Swordfish - The mag located at the top of the lighthouse is the same model of a mag from the Swordfish A1. Some people believe that is a hint for the swordfish being needed from the box in order to complete the relic. Here are links to a spreadsheet managed by one community member that has things that community members have tested directly. Feel free to look through it, and see if you have an idea that has not already been tested: If you are interested in hunting this with other community members, please feel free to join the Mystery and ZoneX discords, as many of the community is hunting throughout there regularly. You can also feel free to comment under this post anything you might have found interesting.

𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒕 𝑹𝑨𝑰𝑵𝑺 𝒊𝒕 𝑷𝑶𝑼𝑹𝑺⛑️ 𝐺𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑛 𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙~𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡 2 😇🙏 After a botched summer assignment to a new collegiate league in Texarkana, TX that saw Grant Scholzen sleeping in his car and no host family provided as promised, Grant came home and waited patiently for a summer league call. The MGF Marshalls (who by the way is one of the best run orgs in the country, more on that in a future post!) called and in his 1st game and 2nd AB with a 1-2 count in a left on left matchup with the shadows in play, Grant took a 92 mph FB off the shoulder and into the right side of his face. The only time in 5 years w/o a face shield on his helmet, it’s the only time he’s been hit above the shoulder. Was watching the game on live stream, and it was hard to tell where it actually hit him? Grant immediately started walking to the dugout and I couldn’t figure out why he was doing that, because he should be either staying at home plate gathering his bearings or going to 1B. What you don’t see is the catcher and pitcher who are close friends of Grant’s growing up facing each other in HS and teammates throughout their CBA summer/fall travel ball experiences, looking on with what just happened? The pitcher and catcher who I’m close with as well, are in shock and the pitcher then walks into the opposing dugout to see if Grant is okay? Grant was okay, but he wasn’t okay?! That helpless feeling again when you’re not there and your son has something almost tragic happen?! I was calling friends who I knew were at the game and they said he had ice on his cheek in the dugout. After the game Grant was going to drive 4 hours home and get home at 3am to attend his cousin’s church service to listen to him speak at his 2 year church missionary farewell. He got home late as I said and woke up yesterday with his face extremely swollen and his eye already black, so we saw his uncle at church, who is a pediatric dentist and he scheduled a CT Scan with an oral surgeon buddy. Grant went in this morning for the scan and to our surprise, NO broken bones. Thank you to the countless people who text and reached out with worry and wanting updates. The baseball circle is small, but big at the same time and is a comforter! Once again his mother Heidi was working overtime to protect her kids, just like my daughter’s car accident 3 weeks ago. Monthly WINR Protocol Development Update: To begin with, the WINR Protocol has distributed $900,000 to token holders, generated more than $500,000 in pure profit for liquidity providers on WLP, acquired more than 5,000 users, and has almost 9% of the supply burned. In the upcoming months, the WINR Protocol, which has been in production for years, will introduce a range of new products and deployments. These developments will represent the practical and technical evolution to V2 of the protocol. Here are the latest updates and further details as they progress: Progress on WINR Bonanza, Casino Hold'em, and Blackjack is nearing completion. These games are in the final stages of testing. Additional games, including a new type of crash game, have been finalized and are set to debut with the JustBet v2 launch. Take a look at the gameplay videos for a preview. These games achieve the long-term goal of providing a full-suite WINR Game Engine SDK, which can be used to build games with complex logic on-chain with modular smart contract infrastructure. For example, any grid slot game that dominates the iGaming industry could easily be developed on-chain using the WINR Bonanza SDK. - Permissionless Frontend Operator SDK Dashboard Release: March is poised to be a milestone month with the launch of the Frontend Operator SDK dashboards. These dashboards will enable any WINR Labs game to be seamlessly deployed on frontends, marking a significant advancement in protocol accessibility and integration for future games developed by independent iGaming developers. The frontend operator can deploy any game they choose through a few simple steps while utilizing 10,000 WINR per game via the WINR Game Factory smart contract. Each operator is assigned a unique smart contract address(es) for every game they deploy, allowing their revenue to be tracked independently. The deployment process includes instructions on integrating the game as a package into the operator's frontend. In subsequent phases, the games will transition through WINR Chain, streamlining user onboarding steps like wallet connection and token bridging to Arbitrum. This abstraction will make it easy for any web2/web3 platform on any chain to seamlessly integrate WINR-based games with just a few clicks. The new budget system changes how the revenue is calculated on the protocol and will see daylight with frontend operator, Solana, and Fantom deployments. This model was first tested with a lightweight version on and gave a lot of actionable feedback. Shifting from the existing bribe model, which in practice distributes almost half of the edge of the games in volume to WINR holders, the brand-new budget system checks the profitability of WLP. It distributes a larger part of the profit to game providers, frontend operators, and, most importantly, WINR holders. Any time a game's budget is in profit, a part of every loss is distributed to stakeholders. Here is an example: 1. The WINR Bonanza Game has a 10,000 budget for a frontend operator. 2. Let's assume the bet amount was $50, and Bonanza paid back $10 on that spin. That leaves $40 of pure profit. 3. This is distributed amongst 50% to WLP, 20% to frontend operators, 20% to WINR holders, and 10% to game providers. 4. To achieve this, V2 of WINR Liquidity Engine (WLP) will have a buffer for purchasing and selling, working in epochs to determine the above distribution and math. - Solana Deployment and Expansions: Solana audits are in their final phase, and frontend tests are ongoing. Solana launch will be alongside the V2 launch of @JustBetOfficial, with a chain switch available on the top bar. The VRF system WINR developed already is seeing requests from builders around the Solana ecosystem, and this will over time add an extra layer of income to the protocol. Solana's bankroll, at first, will be a lighter version of WLP but will inherit the above-mentioned budgeting system to generate income immediately upon launch. - Fantom Deployment and Expansions: Fantom's upcoming Sonic upgrade, with its 200ms finality and fast block production is a perfect chain for WINR Protocol to expand. Through the partnership with WINR Protocol will tap into a brand new user base on Fantom. The bankroll on Fantom will consist of FTM and stables. The launch is planned for late March or early April. This expansion aims to open up new markets and collaborations with fresh teams. which operates independently, will integrate a broad spectrum of WINR technologies, including WINR Account Abstraction, WINR VRF, and WINR games, marking a pivotal step in WINR Protocol’s journey of horizontal expansion. - XAI VRF Deployment Progress Update: The WINR Account Abstraction Wallet and WINR Verifiable Random Function (VRF) deployment on the XAI 🎮⛓️ is well underway, with the majority of the work completed. This step forward showcases WINR's expansion beyond gambling and trading, highlighting the protocol's adaptability and commitment to broadening decentralized services. The process to automize and permissionlessly let game developers start using WINR VRF by paying (and burning) fees in WINR will launch alongside WINR VRF deployment on XAI and expand to further chains to help DApp builders with the tooling they need. This process will work very similarly to frontend operators, where DApp builders will be able to easily deploy their VRF contract, pay the WINR fees, and enjoy the fastest random number generation transaction, as showcased on @JustBetOfficial for some time. - JustBet v2 Development Update: Set to launch in March, the last testing phase with long-time community members of JustBet V2 is underway. Boasting a completely refreshed look, JustBet v2 aims to captivate more users with its modern features, a significant upgrade from the classic JustBet designed in 2019. Expect dynamic animations and a user experience that rivals traditional web2 casinos, setting a new standard for online gambling platforms and serving once again as proof of concept for all the new WINR features and infrastructure set to launch over the coming months. As always, WINR Labs simultaneously develops protocol infrastructure and platform to best address the needs of one and only goal: horizontal expansion. Easter eggs: Upcoming Gitbook update with all the technical information of WINR V2. CEX listing. Detailed product pages on WINR web. Pyth competitions. WIP-4 and WIP-5 are ready to deploy. And an 🪂

I deleted all my Polymarket positions at 2am on a Tuesday because I realized I was winning 54% of my bets and still down $11,400. It took me three weeks to understand that sentence. Fifty four percent wins. Why is the balance shrinking? The math was brutal once I finally saw it. I was buying outcomes at 55 to 65 cents feeling smart because my picks kept winning. But the payout at those prices was so thin that one loss wiped out five wins. My edge was maybe 3% and the spread was eating 4%. I dug into the data hoping to find a way to trade better and instead found a number that made me want to close the app. 70% of all Polymarket addresses are in the red. And the profits? Captured by 0.04% of wallets. Four thousand addresses out of 1.7 million own almost everything. I was playing a game where 96% of participants exist to fund the other 4%. But the trades of those wallets are public. Every entry, every exit, sitting on the blockchain. I started tracking them manually. One wallet broke me. It started January 6 with $50. By the time I found it the balance was close to $500,000. Pulling $20 to $30K a day on 15 minute BTC, ETH and SOL markets, exploiting the fact that Binance updates faster than Polymarket odds. A few seconds of lag, hundreds of times a day. I scrolled its history for an hour trying to find a losing streak. Could not. That is when I stopped doing this by hand. Set up PMX. Alerts the second a tracked wallet moves, one tap copy. → Link to bot: Three weeks of shadowing instead of trading. Made back $4,200 of my $11,400 hole. Not because I got smarter. Because I stopped pretending I was the edge. The game on Polymarket is not about being right. It is about standing behind someone who already is. I am still not in profit. But for the first time in four months my balance moves the right direction and I sleep through the night. That is worth more than any win.
