Just to help educate you a bit, when an officer’s pulls you over by turning on his red and blue lights, you are being detained. So stop. If they pulled you over for a state traffic violation, you must provide your identification/drivers license. They have to ensure that you are who you say you are and that you legally can drive. Refusing to do so is interfering with a lawful investigation. Per a Supreme Court decision (penn vs Mims) police can ask you to step out of the vehicle if they legally pulled you over. It shouldn’t come to that, but if you are being uncooperative or evasive, it sends up red flags as this behavior is not normal and often it a precursor to fight or flight. This traffic stop should have been about ten minutes long. He turned it into a shit show.
